Remarks :

I have applied for NIT TIRCHI NIT ROURKELA NIT SURATHKAL NIT WARANGAL IIEST NIT DURGAPUR At the first round, I got IIEST with my desired department so I locked my choice at that round and didn't went to the next rounds. I availed OBC-NCL quota. Admission Criteria was jee rank should be between opening and closing rank. The admission process follows JOSAA councelling process. Which requires some documents and admission fees. after successful submission, there was one google meet from college where some basic information was taken and after that meeting, a PROVISIONAL ADMISSION LETTER was provided.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen B-TECH COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY course because I really love to do coding staff. As everything is going in online mode so I dont know much about faculty numbers but as far I know there are enough faculties. All the teachers are excellent and very helpful. I love to have them as my professors. We have to sit for two semesters per year and every semester has one mid-term and assignments also. And if one does all the classes attentively it is very easy to score a good CGPA.

Course Fees : INR 17000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Many companies like APPLE, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, COGNIZANT, INFOSYS, GENPACT, FLIPKART, IBM, RELIANCE JIO, JP MORGAN, INTEL, UBER, AIRBUS, AMERICAN EXPRESS, CESC, TCS, OLA, SAMSUNG, NOKIA, OYO, HYUNDAI, etc offer placement.

Placement Experience :

Maybe from 3rd-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies like microsoft,google,cognizant,infosys,genpact,apple, flipkart,intel,goldman sach, uber, reliance jio, IBM etc. more than 90% of students get good placement.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are three types of fee structures. For those who have an annual family income of less than 1 lakh, less than 5 lakh, and others. Scholarships are depending on CGPA. GAABESU alumni organize this scholarship program.

Campus Life :

Everything is going online, so we are not still lucky enough to enjoy the college campus. So I barely know about these things but still answering hearing from seniors. Enough amenities in the classroom There are many sports groups of badminton, football, tennis, table tennis, cricket, hockey , volleyball, etc. there are many social groups ; SCAGE for drawing EUPHONY for music CODEIIEST for coders CATHERIST for photographers LITSOC for literature lover REBECAA for dancers etc

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
