Remarks :

I applied for a couple of IITs, new and baby IIMs during and after CAT 2020. Due to the pandemic, admission processes went completely through online mode. The admission processes began by applying for the course on their website soon after the CAT 2020 results are declared. It included attachments of our mark sheets, a few important certificates, and extra-curricular. The institute released interview call letters for shortlisted candidates. This shortlisting was based on one's aggregate of 10th, 12th and undergraduate marks along with gender diversity, academic diversity, and work experience taking into consideration. I remember the DoMS IIT Madras interview was the last in the series of interviews I attended. The interview lasted for about 15-20 minutes for each of the candidates. And I received my admission offer letter in the very first list which was out around the first week of May.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I opt to join this institute mainly considering batch strength, faculty/student ratio, and alma mater. 25 faculties are exclusively for the DoMS. About three fourth of them have 20+ years of experience in the industry which actually helps them to provide in-depth practical knowledge to the students. DoMS IIT Madras follows a quarter system by which there would be exams every 8 weeks. The evaluation is solely through the written exams. It is done with the combination of quizzes, assignments, projects, class participation, and so on.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies that came for the internships are Accenture, McKinsey, Outlook, TCS, DELL, and few others. The highest stipend offered is around 2 lakhs. The average stipend ranges around 77,000. The companies that recruits range widely from startups to highly established one. It's up to the students to choose.

Placement Experience :

At the end of the first year, students are expected to do internships for a couple of months. The Placement committee works hard to ease this process and ensures 100% placements in both summer internships and final placements. Some premium companies like Accenture, McKinsey & Company, Infosys, Cognizant, Dell, Mu Sigma are regular recruiters of the institute. The highest package for the summer internship stands around 2 lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The overall fee of the course comes around 1200000 which includes hostel expenses and abroad programs. Scholarships are provided based on the family income level of the student. The institute always does a good job in placements by getting all the students of the batch placed. Few students however opt-out from the campus placement but still get placed in reputed organizations.

Campus Life :

We are not called to the campus yet due to the covid situation. But even then club activities and committees are doing a good job online. Club and committees function through online meetings, competitions, and lectures for now. Being everything needs to be operated through the internet, I would say the IT department of the institute functions really well in all aspects.

Interview Experience :

Due to the pandemic this year, the entire admission process went online. So only interviews were conducted slot-wise, which lasted for about 15-20 minutes. I updated myself with the current affairs and especially new trends related to my undergraduate stream. Also, I made sure that I am clear about the reason for choosing this institute and course.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good on this campus. We have had so many big companies to recruit from our college. average salary package to our seniors was around 7-8 LPA. The highest was 16LPA if I remember. Our batch had so many zero selects after the company attended because the election time was nearing and the market was dull. But they will try their maximum to get everyone placed.

Placement Experience:

We are spending so much money to get placed right? so yeah placements are good with 90% of students getting placed. Many companies come and hire students with an average salary of 4.5 lacs. The lowest can go till 2 lacs but unless you are in the college for fun you will not get a such a low salary.

Admission:

No, my admission was based on my entrance exam scores, and they also asked if I had any previous work experience. The entrance exam was difficult to pass; I passed on my second attempt after studying online.

Remarks:

The reason for pursuing MBA program from this college is its tuition fee which is too low. Inspite of low fee, the facilities provided here and the on campus placement record. Post checking the official website I registered myself and filled the application form and paid the application fee firstly. Further, my score in undergraduate and TANCET exam was considered for enrolling me at this college.

Placement Experience:

Around 90% placement is recorded every year in our college. The top recruiters who have tie-up with our college and make a visit for offering job are Zoho, Amazon, HCL, Deloitte,IBM, Tech Mahindra, SBI Life Insurance and others as well. Also, they offer handsome packages to the deserving ones. Though I have not been a part of placement drive. I had asked the details from my seniors and they said that the whole placement process is easy to clear. Most importantly, the highest package offered to our seniors was 6 LPA and the average package reached till 3 LPA.

Remarks:

I am very satisfied with the kind of teaching we received, thanks to our esteemed faculty. Course fee is very much budget-friendly and the infrastructure provided is exceptionally good. Library is humongous if not gigantic.

Admission:

The admission process is pretty straight forward. The MBA program offered by the college is a self-financed course and caters to the need of students who fail to appear for any entrance level management test. You have to just fill out the application form, with relevant details and present all the relevant documents.
