My wonderful journey

Remarks :

I found Birla over the internet. Before Birla, I thought to go to KIIT but my parents suggested trying for Birla and as my luck, Birla is better. So I filled the form of the registration over the official page of Birla. Then I got a call from the college for an interview and after passing the interview I joined Birla global university in the course bachelor in mass communication and journalism. The max mark required was 55 but they prefer creativity over marks. And on the admission day, I was counselled about the rules and regulations of the college and the most strict rule that they followed is no raging and no tobacco on the campus. They are strictly against raging, hence is said to be an environmentally friendly and anti-ageing campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I always had interested in influencing people with good communication and good facts. And Birla gave the right opportunity to. The faculties are great and they guide you like a mentor who is also your friend. They build you for the industry or the internships they will provide from the college or if we want ourselves to go and search for our own dream jobs, they groom you for that well. The faculties are highly qualified and the methods they follow to teach the students are fantabulous. The college gives us mid team exams but we the main exams semester wise. And the exams are hard if you don't have to skills but the teachers groom you well and they work on each and every student's skills. So the exams for me were more of a skilled tester than an exam. I quite enjoy the exams of my college surprisingly.

Internships Opportunities :

They give you a vast range of opportunities and numerous companies visit us or we can also try for outer companies and they help you with that too. And we have numerous projects to groom us for the placements like I am now doing my public relations, and I'm an Ambassador of my college team. I also work in the content developer department. And I am sure at the end of my project I will be ready for my placements.

Placement Experience :

Yes, the internships and placements Birla provide are really good. They give placements in the last semester. So many good companies visit us for eg, ZEE, Kayak News etc and I am planning to do public relations or do my masters in this same college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fees are affordable to most of the students. And they provide scholarships and jobs many times. Even if any student has a problem with the payment they give you time because they really value students over money.

Campus Life :

Only a student of Birla can know how good life can be in Birla. It is that amazing. Birla, not only value studies it also gives time for fun. We have so many events where we celebrate like a family. We have numerous clubs, we have so special event for sports. We have a small but beautiful library with all kinds of courses books and there is never a shortage of books.

Other Applied Colleges

Kiit | Ba in Mass communication and journalism

Because I heard birla was better and it is right, it is better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Im really not into mathematics and science my hobbies and strong catch was always on literature subjects and speaking and when I had completed my 10th I was always searching for the course where my intrest was lying and I finally found Journalism. The curriculum of this particular field is really practical and always prepares you for field . There is no such rocket science applied to this course . This particular field moulds the students to be always prepared for field experiences. And if we talk about the examinations here in our college this paper was held yearly which really gave us time to prepare for more better results.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like Adfactors, PR Hub, Value 360, etc, typically visit offering various roles. The highest package could be around 8lakhs depending on the company and role. Approximately 70 to 80% of students secure placements. And plan after getting the degree is to continue my post-graduation, I aspire to pursue further studies and join a reputed firm to gain experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course mainly because I was passionate about writing. This course gives good exposure to different career opportunities, not only in television but also in radio. Fluency in English is one of the many benefits of this course. The faculty to students ratio is well maintained as per the official guidelines (1:35). All the papers have specialized teachers. The faculty members are friendly and well be informed about the subject. They encourage all the students to develop skills. The assignments given by them are quite interesting. To sum it up, you get one of the best faculties available for this course. The semester-end exams are held every 4 months and there are assignments and internal assessments between that. The exams are quite easy to pass, just a thorough knowledge of the subject is required. You would mostly be asked questions to test your understanding of the subject.

Placement Experience:

For getting placements, I need to atleast reach the end of the 3rd year of my college. I've just started my 2nd year now. However, my seniors, have perfectly gotten good placements at really fine places. To date, I've done atleast 3 internships in my 1st year of colllege, all provided by BGU. A good number of students are really brilliant and talented and hence the percentage of students getting well-placed crosses a really fine line.

Admission:

Completely admission is dependable on the marks I have scored in my 12th examination. On the basis of this percentage, admission will be done through the first list or maybe through the second list as much known.

Placement Experience:

The facility of providing internships or job opportunities isn't available in our college. Students need to find job opportunities on their own or they might go for the option of pursuing higher studies.
