Remarks :
I haven't applied for any other colleges. I applied for only one college and got selected there. And there was no quota available for the course. The admission is so simple just fill the application form and details. The minimum marks for the admission is 60% above and minimum age for bachelor course is 16. If you got seat they confirm you via e-mail or phone and then you have to attend the councelling and then your docs are verified and hurray you are selected
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose B.com for the sole reason so that it can help me to persue the aim of my life of becoming an entrepreneur. And the course provided me enough exposure to start my own startup. The faculty of the college was fair enough to deliver the best to you. Almost every Professor was enough qualified to do his job. There was 2 Exams per semester. Mid term of 40 marks and Final exam of 60 marks.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like Kanwal offer roles like executive, Assistant Manager, HR assistant etc and there are always internships both gratuitous and non gratuitous. The internship provide a minimal pay of around 1500 to 3000 pm. But they help a lot to feel the real working field.
Placement Experience :
From last semester a student becomes eligible for campus placement. The most students of our college choose to opt for masters and not for the job. There are few companies like Kanwal, Shingaar etc who visited the campus for placement and around 20 to 30% students are placed through the campus placement. I remember one of our batchmate got a package of around 12lpa from the kanwal for the position of manager. Average package is around 3 to 4lpa. My plan was fix from very early to start my own venture. And After i completed the graduation within a year i started my own startup under the name of Meer Consultancy and my startup helps the people and firms to choose best alternative for the optimum utilisation of resources.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee of our course was not high, even a student like me belonging from a middle class family easily afford the fee of the course. They were hiking the fee once in about 5 years and the hike wasn't that much. And moreover they were providing lot of scholarships like Post Matric scholarships, Sher i Kashmir scholarship for backward class, Faze scholarship for meritorious students
Campus Life :
There were workshops like Tech Fest, Venture Steps etc to help students to make them feel how industries work and they were always inviting some great personality in the events. And the journey if those personalities were motivating the students to achieve their goals. The Library was good with a seating capacity of around 1000. And there were lot of limited edition books available for students. The library was accessible 24x7. The classrooms wre smart classrooms and were equipped with latest facilities like projector, AC, comfortable seats etc. The college was organising lot of events from time to time. Like Football championship, Cricket Cup etc The campus has lot of sports fields for students. There were some of the Facebook pages like GDC Updates and they were providing info about the upcoming events, exams etc through their page.
