Remarks :

I scored 16,212 in WBJEE. There was opportunity to apply best colleges in kolkata for engineering like Heritage Institute of Technology, Techno India Saltlake, IEM. All those colleges can be availed if you scored good score in WBJEE or JEEMain. As I scored more than 16,000 there was possibility to get admission in computer science section in B.P.Poddar or Subhas Institute of Engineering college. I wait for 3rd counselling & finally selected for Electronic & communication. B. P. Poddar is well connected for transport & at the main road opposite to Haldiram, which is really good. I did not select others college like Subhas Institute, GNIT because there location & campusing was not good. I availed TFW quota & this helps to reduce my course fees to 50%. You have to apply from staff room , there were criteria to maintain no academic supply in the semester. Only online counseling conducted by board & avail 45% marks in science section & holding valid rank from WBJEE or JEEMain

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose electronics & communication Engineering because I like electronic gadgets & my brother also did the same course. He got placement in TCS at that time. There was both way to IT sector & electronic manufacturing sector to go with this branch. Student teacher ratio was 21:1. Almost 21 teachers & 450 students. Allmost 60% teachers have done PhD in their subjects. Clear & transparent teaching methods using projector helps to utilise learning skills for the students. Here before semester you have to submit assignments & have to pass internal. You can't cheat or be lazy in doing that otherwise you can get supply.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship in SPIE helps a lot to the student from the core Electronic & Communication batch. Present & future analytic & software testing about photo optics & Micro Electronic Imaging is the main fundamental of this internship. Awards also there for showing good performance & contribution. You can do also project in Globsyn Business School in JavaScript or any other coding based program, BSNL also a good choice about Telecommunications in this section in 3rd year projects.

Placement Experience :

From the 3rd semester, students are getting ready for placement. Placement cell also taking revision before any campusing going to happen. 12-13 companies come every session in a year minimum. CTS, TCS, IBM, Accenture, Bosch, Earnst & Young, L & T, Capgemini are the main recruiters every year. Highest package offered 8 Lakhs per Annum but not from our own campus. After the year ending , almost 80% students got their campusing which I have seen. I already joined a company named Royal Research & persuing my job there as IT professionals.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees when getting admission were the same. There was clearly written you have to pay this every year. Admission for 1st year & after that 74,000 then 76000 then 78000 per year. Fees are taken which can be high from other institute & hostel fees are high also. You can get scholarship in the branches that you have taken after you contact HOD ( head of the department ) basically if you have good academic scrore more than 8.5 to 9.0 CGPA. You can avail TFW quota certificate & reduce 50% course fees. From minority communities & financial backward students get full waiver scheme also but only 5% among all students. Campus job like cognizant technology solutions, Tata consultancy services, IBM, Bosch, Capgemini, Earnst & Young, L & T come every year & take 80% students from own campus.

Campus Life :

TechStorm, Abhiyantran are some fest regarding technical equipment & analysis happened every year. IIT qualified seniors gave speeches, other college students also took part into into. Fests basically happened in the month June every year. Library is stuffed with too much varieties of books & courses books are free & you can avail using Library card. International journals , magazines on every branches also available to read in reading room beside library. All the classrooms are well furnished & AC connected Lab also there . Every year BPPIMT arranges football tournament, FIFA & chess competition & many more as extra curricular activities & it's very vital to enrich your CV during campusing time. You can search B.P.P.I.M.T group in facebook , there was also a confession page & you can post review without any hesitation. All types extra curricular activities updates like social activities, awareness campaign , blood donation campaign, tech games & win prizes etc. are given there.

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
