My experience of B. Tech

Remarks :

I was determined to do B. Tech after 12th. I came to know about this college through my relatives whose daughter was also pursuing B. Tech from the same college. ITM has also been ranked fifth among the top Private Engineering Institutes. Presenting JEE scores is must to get admission in the college. I applied for the course online through the college website where I registered myself along with verifying my mail. id. Then I filled my form, paid the application fee which was Rs.250 and then submitted my form.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The reason why I chose this course was that I wanted to become a software engineer. I feel very happy that I took up this college in this course as the course curriculum is excellent. The student: faculty ratio is 1: 25. Faculty here is very friendly and experienced. Even at this time of pandemic they are trying their best to deliver the lectures regularly and clearly. The level of exams here is average.

Internships Opportunities :

Like many students of my batch I also preferred to do an internship and learn something new. So I did an internship as a Software development engineer for Internshala. My internship was of four months where I earned a stipend of Rs.8000 per month.

Placement Experience :

IMS is the best when it comes to recruiting students. Many renowned companies visit the campus every year like Flipkart, HCL, Wipro, Google, Amazon etc. The highest package offered by the companies is Rs.12,00,000LPA, and the average is about Rs.3,30,000 LPA. About 85% students were placed last year. I plan to get a job in these companies at the post of software engineer.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The tuition fee of the course semester wise is Rs.63,000. The fees is quite affordable. Scholarships are also provided like scholarship for girl child, merit based scholarship etc. Internships are also given to the students that gives them some confidence that they can do something and can earn money on their own.

Campus Life :

Life in campus is very good and secure. We have many facilities provided in the campus like sports facilities, canteen, labs, library etc. The library of the college is huge and is equipped with a lot of books and journals. LITMUS is one of the famous fests organized by our university that lasts for a week, where the first three days are dedicated to sports events named as Chakravyuh.

Hostel Facilities :

We have good hostel facilities provided by the college. Hostel for girls is inside the campus, whereas for its boys outside the campus because of which boys get bus facilities to travel from hostel to the campus. The rooms of the hostel are very decent and spacious. Food in the mess is also nice though it does not contains the feeling of homemade food but it is fine in taste.

Many students placed. My plan is to start business.

Placement Experience:

For law students internship after every semester is mandatory. Hence, if they perform well there they can get placements without campus placements. In campus from corporate houses to various big law firms came and offered jobs worth 10-15LPA per annum. The placement percentage dropped significantly in our year and I don't know why but only half the students had placements from the campus. However, some students got placements worth 20LPA or more from our campus.

From the fourth year of LL.B and the last semester of LL.M, students start to get pre-placement offers if they have interned in any corporate law firm or with any senior advocate. apart from this, there is one placement cell in university which is headed by a seniormost professor in university. The placement packages vary from 26 Lakhs at the highest to 4 Lakh at the lowest, depending on the organisation in which students get a job.

Placement is better than online and Cluj. 17-24 lakhs it goes and 90-95% are placed. As such I have no plans after graduation, after 8 semesters you can get PPOs, 11-12 companies visited campus this semester.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements right from their 4th year. We have our Day 0 in the month of august in our final year although most of the batchmates start getting their PPOs right from their 4th year. Top tier firms like SAM, CAM, AZB, NDA, Khaitan, Indus, and JSA, visit our campus for conducting the interviews on Da zero. Our seniors have been made 70 offers and 40 students got their jobs through campus placements. The highest Package lies around 22 lahks per annum and the average package is 6 lakh per annum. But very few students get placed through college placements and one has to be in the top 40 of the batch in order to get it through college.

There are job placements that the college offers but don't know much because I didn't take any. Two of my friends got jobs and they are doing good in their fields. One was from finance specialization and the other was from marketing specialization.

After the successful completion of the 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placement. Many companies had visited our college for placement like TCS, IBM in computer and IT fields. Average placement is 4,50,000. It should be 80-90% of students get placement on the campus. My plan after my degree is to get a good placement.

In India there are only some limited or I would say few law colleges that provides placement offers too and Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is also among the university that offers good placement offer. The college manages to reach the highest placement offer of around 14 LPA and with an average salary offer of 7.50 LPA.
