Remarks :
I applied only to IBS Mumbai and I have not availed of any quota. The minimum marks to apply was 50% above on your degrees and 10th and 12th and the minimum age to apply is 20. The admission process was really smooth even though it was online due to the Covid situation. There was a counselling day for all the IBS aspirants and we got all the information as to how to prepare ourselves for the GD/PI and crucial data was provided such as the placement packages and companies that come to the placement campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I wanted to gain knowledge about the business world and to give my career a kick start. 1 faculty: 65 students. The faculty's qualifications are PhD or minimum masters in the respective subject and the teaching method are poor. The term exams are held every 2 months and it is very difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities :
HDFC Life and the role was to research executive intern and no stipend was offered. Employee engagement activities were conducted, screening of resumes, understanding the profile of financial advisors and monitoring their performances.
Placement Experience :
From semester 3, students become eligible for campus placements. Many large and small companies visit the campus for giving the student's job opportunities. So far the process hasn't started yet, so no offer has been made until now. 95% of students get placed. After getting the degree, just want to get a good corporate job and settle in.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I did not get any scholarship from the college. Financial assistance is fine, I can't say much as I didn't take any loan but they do provide financial assistance on loans from the Bank of Baroda. I am still in semester 3, so actually waiting for the placements.
Campus Life :
I have not been to the campus at all so I don't have any idea about the amenities or neither am I a part of any tech fest. The books are available in the library. There are plenty of clubs that students participate in and gain knowledge about their field.
Interview Experience :
Due to Covid, there wasn't any GD held only personal interviews and the questions that were asked were pretty basic. They just wanted to know the student as a person and their background. I prepared for my personal interviews by practising with my friends and acquaintances.
