Entrance Preview :
EAMCET, I din't remember my score in EAMCET examination. I selected this college not by choice but by chance. Basically at that point of time, college selection and stream selection are beyond my ken.
Course Curriculum Overview :
College follows Andhra University's utilitarian curriculum as it is affiliated to it. curriculum cover all the subjects useful for competitive examinations where most of the college curriculum's fail to. You have to go through extraneous electrical subjects like Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics etc.
Internships Opportunities :
No. You don't expect any internship from this college. But industrial training was made requisite in curriculum where you have an option to choose your company. If you get into the good company under good engineer you have a chance of good exposure. If not you will just have to pass the time. Be elective at this point of time if you want to choose core related jobs as it plays a imperative role in interview.
Placement Experience :
College have dedicated placement cell who does their best in getting good companies. Mainly placements were software(service oriented) concentrated. Very few good core companies like L&T visit the campus. You can even attend to many inconspicuous companies like Medha Servo drives etc. You can hardly find a better core placement but comparable to many top costing colleges.
College Events :
You can't expect a big technical fest as in IITs and NITs but you can experience a decent tech fest. Although there will be so many options for participation but college mainly concentrate on Paper Presentations. You can't find any participation in initial years but in third year you will have ample chances for participation and 4th year you can be a part of organising committee.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
During my time tuition fee was around 30K. Pre pending 4 years tuition fee to chosen expenses like college bus fee, a computer etc., the costing will be around 2 lakhs. I don't know the present figures. It is not expensive in my time but there might be change in present figures. It was a decent amount to clear if you plan for education loan. My suggestion is to cut your expenses like college bus fee etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I never received any scholarship facility from my college but some of my friends applied for scholarship provided by state govt. As per my knowledge college will not offer any loan facility, you have to apply for education loan outside the college.
Hostel Facilities :
Basically I'm day scholar. So i know very few about hostel facilities like accommodation, canteen food, amount to be paid. I didn’t research in this field during college time but i never find myself comfortable with canteen food. Even i found my college friends discussing about mess food bad quality many times.
Alumni/Alumna :
I feel alumni network is maintained by college administration for name sake but it is not well maintained. I neither attended any alumni function nor have an interaction with alumni during my college times. I rarely got chance to attend alumni meet which i couldn't attend due to my work schedule.
Exam Structure :
You will face some hectic exam schedule with 2 mid exams per day and semester exams without any gap. College has nothing to do with this schedule because college just follow Andhra University Exam pattern. It will be hectic in starting but you will feel free once you got used to it. The only thing you have to do is be prepared for exams from starting and try avoiding "one day batting"-It’s our jargon.
Admission :
You need to qualify EAMCET with handsome score to get admission in this institute. After that you have to prop the college name in your order of preference. Certificate verification date will be given by counselling authority where you have to submit your certificates to respective authority. Afterwards pay specified tuition fee and join the college.
Faculty :
You can find no under qualified faculty. Many faculty members mainly concentrate on the subject syllabus and they even succeed in completing them in time. A normal student have ample understanding skill to learn by self-study. So, he expects faculty to teach extraneous prescribed book's topics. In fact they think faculty will act as bridge between text book and present industry technology.
