Remarks :
I had been searching colleges for Bsc CS degree with Maths as complementary. Applications were sent to both St. Thomas' Thrissur and Christ College Irinjalakuda. Since my desired course was in reach, I decided to join here. The admission process was very speedy and efficient. I had joined into General category under Merit. Minimum marks was above 85 or so as calculated from +2 and 10th grade results. There is no age limit for this course to my knowledge. Confirmation of admission was sent to me and the fees and other issues were settled the same day. I was able to attend classes from the very next day.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen this course to acquire more knowledge about my field of interest which is the workings of a computer. And this course does its justice. The teaching staff is very timely and ordered. Classes are taken at appropriate times and topics are discussed well. Online classes had been difficult at first but everyone has adjusted. Topics are taught correctly each day and right amount of homework is given. Internal exams have been carried out properly and are relatively easy when studied appropriately. Semester End exams are yet to be taken.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from 5th semester onwards. Past years have shown almost all high passing grade students being placed in multinational companies. Some of them being Wipro, Infosys etc. My plans are to continue the degree to Masters's and hopefully get placed through the placement cell.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are very minimal comparatively and around 10-15k per year. Whenever different scholarships are available, we are let known by our teaching staff. Over the last few years, pass out students with high scores are given well-paying jobs at established corporate companies with around 2L - 20L per annum.
Campus Life :
The college has been very serious about COVID-19 and following protocols and has limited offline classes and offline exams. They are conducted only when necessary. So to my knowledge, the annual fest is conducted under a different name each year along with other fests organized by our seniors. A huge library is currently undergoing construction. Classrooms are very large and spacious to accommodate everyone along with enough space for the teacher to teach. Sports Quota students are given special attention and extracurricular activities are highly promoted. The college has its socials managed by students on almost all platforms along with multiple socials for different clubs.
