There are no Bad remarks about the college but the Hostel should be developed well and the food should be of good quality.
Entrance Preview :
I have written EAMCET in 2010 and got a rank of 14798.I have opted this college because it is located in a developing city Vijayawada and it is one of the top most colleges in Andhra Pradesh. It is the first private engineering college in AP.My cousins have studied in this college in 90's and preferred to opt this college as the best college for studies and Infrastructure.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Structure is the best one in the college in our college, focus on research starts from the 6th semester by Termpaper. Students have to choose one topic and have to write important points in detail of around 10-15 pages. Project work starts from the 7th semester as Mini Project and in 8th semester the Major Project. Students focus from the Term paper because their research work may develop for the Mini and Major projects faculty helps every individual student by processing their role in the Projects.
Internships Opportunities :
VR Siddahartha Engineering College doesnt provide any Internship but helps in getting Internships in various Oraganisations like Steelplant, BHEL etc.
Placement Experience :
In my batch of 2010-2014 total 325 students were placed in many MNC's like Tcs, Infosys, Virtusa, Cyient,T ech Mahindra, Hyundai, CTS, AT&T, AMARARAJA etc, All the companies came to the campus except some companies like Cadsys, AT&T etc, The average package in all the MNC's offered were around 3 lakhs per annum in Mechanical branch many of the students selected in Tcs, Infosys, Hyundai. They were offered around 2.8 lakhs to 3.25 lakhs even the students were from the core branch.
College Events :
Every year a grand symposium will be conducted in the name of AFOSEC which stands for Annual Festival of Siddhartha Engineering College.It is a National Level Cultural and Technical Fest.Many technical events will be conducted in every respective branches and Cultural level functions will be organised in the College Grounds.Many big companies sponsor the main events respectively through which many students all over the State and many corners of the Country gets attention and attends in the fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
There are 2 categories in which the seats are filled in the college.In category A the seats will be filled as per the norms approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.In category B the seats will be filled by the College as per the norms approved by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.In category A the fees are around 31000-33,200 and in the category B the fees are around 91000-94000.As the college has name and fame and the studies and the Infrastructure makes the fees feasible.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No scholarship or loan is offered by the college but many students avail student loans from the banks from their respective hometowns.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very friendly and the Gender ratio is good as the college has a very good reputation.Many parties like Fresher parties,Farewell parties will be organised by the students in their respective branches in the Auditorium.Many Workshops are also organised in the respective branches to be interacted with the organising team and gains knowledge from them.As the college is situated in the Political city Vijayawada many incidents have occurred before due to the politics but the Governing body took serious actions to eradicate all the quarrels and incidents not to occur agian.
Hostel Facilities :
The Boys hostel is not located in the College but the hostel is located in the center of the city in a rich and costly area Moghalrajpuram. The distance was around 6km from the College.The hostel which was allocated for the boys is a old hostel and the rooms are dark and little older. Every room is a 3 shared and the rooms have an average ventilation and the toilets are not bad.The mess food makes many students angry which the student never eats the mess food completely all the time.As the hostel is far from the college many students prefer to stay nearby the college.
Alumni/Alumna :
Our College Alumni has many famous celebrities like Ram Gopal Varma who is a famous director in Tollywood and Bollywood and many IAS and NRI's are from college Alumni.Alumni meets and Alumni gatherings were conducted to share their experiences to the students which can be inspired and motivated by their sayings and experiences.
Exam Structure :
The Exams are a bit heavier in the aspect of students but this structure makes every student to be well prepared for the semester exams and it helps for the placements also.There will be 2 semesters for every particular year.In every semester there will be 2 Assignments and 2 Sessionals and every exam is conducted for 10 marks respectively.The semester exams were'nt conducted in a hectic schedule as every student may concentrate in all the topics and performs well in the final exams.After the Semester theoritical exams were conducted then the Lab exams will be conducted.
Admission :
I have written EAMCET in 2010 and got a rank of 14798.I opted this college in Online Web Counselling.In 2010 Online Web Counselling is the latest procedure for admissions through EAMCET. I was confused a little but the officials made me easy to opt the options for different branches in different colleges.I opted Electronics and Mechanical branches in this college and because of my rank prioritised, I got admission in Mechanical branch.I have reported in the college on the reporting date and paid the fees and submitted all my certificates and other details.
Faculty :
As from the Mechanical branch,our Head of the Department is from IIT Kharagpur many of my branch professors are highly qualified in all the core subjects they teach each and every topic to the depth so that student can gain knowledge not only through theoritical but also practical which helps in the future they suggest the students to choose a different a new topic in the project by which student can gain practical knowledge from the Professors.
