Remarks :

My overall experience was good. If you are looking for placement. Go for computer science and engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, and communication engineering. Other branches placement is not up to mark

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was good. I choose computer science and engineering because it is the most demanding course across the globe in terms of placement. Faculty members are good but not great. Very few are Ph.D. holders. So you will have to put your own effort into better understanding and learning.

Class Size : 120Course Fees : INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience :

After the 6th-semester candidate becomes eligible for campus placement. generally, companies visited are TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, etc. package range lies from 1 lakh per annum to 4 lakh per annum. Almost 60% of a student placed in our batch. People also opt for M Tech and Mba after completing B.Tech

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure of GNIT is 4 lakh per annum, per semester it will be approximately 45k -47k. Campus jobs are good for computer science student.No scholarship is available. Extra 2-3 lakhs will be for your expense for pg and mess.

Campus Life :

Zyzzyva is an annual fest in gnit. Tesseract is a tech-fest in gnit. It has a beautiful campus. There are four colleges inside the campus. libraries are good you can take. There are two canteens for outsiders.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
