Nova College of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2008 with the aim of providing quality education to all sections of the society. The college is run by Nova educational society under the abler chairmanship of Lion M Krishna Rao. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University, Kakinada.

Internships Opportunities :

My college give internship in summer and there will be stipend of 8000 and had a great time in learning new things with corporate environment and also there is long term internship after completion of B.Tech.

Placement Experience :

My college is Pride Towards all round development. Every student admitted into NCET will be a member of at least one of the five Professional Associations such as ISTE, CSI, ISME, BSI and IETE at the College Expense. Students are trained during summer vacation for Summer Projects for PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE, at various industries and are imparted. Value added Courses are conducted to enhance their soft skills. Nova established R & D forum to develop scientific curiosity and creativity. Placement Training is imparted right from 2nd year 1st semester onwards by best of HR Professional Trainers, drawn from the best HR Company. Nova has a unique distinction of becoming Institutional member in professional bodies such as Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Computer Society India (CSI) and The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

College Events :

The state of art facilities and effective delivery of high quality content by qualified faculty members who ensure the notion of lifelong learning. Providing education that is flexible and adapts to meet the engineering needs of society. To keep abreast with latest technological advancements to enhance the Research and Development activities campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees Structure: For seats under Govt. Quota approx 30,000 INR /annum for seats under Management Quota approx 90,000 INR /annum Eligibility: Aspirants must have passed 10+2 passed with physics & Mathematics as major subjects with minimum 50% of marks, selection will be on the basis of marks obtained in EAMCET (Engg, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test).

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Students must have completed at least three semesters of full-time enrollment in the College of Science and Engineering to be eligible for a continuing student scholarship. Typical scholarship recipients have a GPA of at least 3.6 in addition to extensive leadership and extracurricular involvement. There are many opportunities for scholarships in each of the CSE departments. Eligible students will receive an invitation to apply.

Campus Life :

The campus consists of 11 Acres of land and lot of build up area excluding other buildings and workshop areas, is adequate to conduct various courses under B.Tech Program. The main building consists of well ventilated and lighted class rooms with Audio Visual aids for teaching, Laboratories, Workshops, Spacious Drawing Halls, Computer Centers, Life skill development labs, Seminar Hall, Ladies lounge, faculty rooms, and Conference room and so on.

Hostel Facilities :

There are four hostels (Hostel 8, 9, 7 and 11) for first and second year boys, two for each. Separate hostels are allocated to first year students to avoid ragging incidents. Obviously it's shared accommodation but rooms are big enough for 4 people. From 3rd year, boys get opportunity to apply for single accommodation in 5 Halls - McDonalds, Richardson, Sen, Sengupta, Wolfenden. Alternatively you can opt for Hostels with shared accommodation. Generally Hostel 15 and 16 are allotted. For final year students Hall is mandatory. For girls, there are two halls, one newly built (I can't recall the name) for freshies and Pandya for others.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Exam Structure :

For theory subjects the distribution shall be 30 marks for Internal Evaluation And 70 marks for the End - Examinations out of 30 internal marks, the division shall be as shown below: 15 marks shall be assigned for subjective examination 5 marks for objective “On Line” examination 5 marks for tutorials 5 marks for Assignment.

Faculty :

Faculty College brings small faculty teams together over the course of the academic year to plan, study, and develop innovative curricular and pedagogical ideas. It provides these faculty teams with the space, time, and resources to work collaboratively on projects such as: new team-taught courses a major change to a department's curriculum new cross-disciplinary teaching endeavors the focused time spent in Faculty College leads to critical improvements in and spotlights the importance of undergraduate education at Stanford. The Faculty College program has been expanded and is now subsumed.

Remarks:

The campus is provided with hostel facilities, and mess facilities are also available for hostel students and day scholars as well. All the labs are well-equipped with modern technology devices. The campus building has good infrastructure, and the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. These factors made me want to join in this college.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good and for computer science its the best. The CSE department has the most placed percentage compared to other departments. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 2 LPA. All types of companies like top MNCs and startups, visit the campus to hire students.

Remarks:

The college has a good campus life with lots of activities. It also promotes equality amongst the students. It has collaborated with top companies for the placements. It is overall at a growing stage and I know this college has a lot of potential.

Admission:

The admission procedure is same as it is for other engineering college. I took up JEE main exam in the year 2015 and qualifying the exam, I applied for the admission in the college. It also accepts GATE score.
