Remarks :

CSE branch of this college is most suitable. Students of this college have been toppers in WBUT Board and have a very good reputation. Admission helps through the WBJEE Entrance exam or management quota. Previous year there were three rounds of counseling mode online. I took admission through the management quota of college in offline mode. The admission process is also simple. Documents such as AADHAR Card, HS, and Madhyamik Report Cards, etc. minimal are required. Also, the fees through management are also almost similar to the students taking admission through counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The Computer Science Branch of this college is most suitable. Many students of this branch are placed in good companies and many are studying abroad for M.S through cracking TOEFEL, etc. exams. Faculty: The student Ratio is 1: 15. Faculties are very motivating and encouraging. All are M.Tech and Ph.D. qualified. They teach with utmost care that the important topics are properly understood by all the students. Term exams are held timely according to the notice of MAKAUT and difficulty depends on the student's attendance in class and how deeply they have understood the topic.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placements in Fourth Year i.e. from Seventh Semester. Various companies visit such as Infosys, which has special collab with this college, TCS, HCL, Amazon, IBM, Accenture, Cognizant, etc. And offers made 18/19. The highest package is 12 lacs from Jaro. 75% of students were placed in the previous year. I want to join a good company like Infosys, Cognizant, etc. after completing B.Tech.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no fee hike policy of the college. The cost to study is reasonable if u apply through entrance eligibility. Fees per year only 75000 which is much cheap than other colleges like Heritage and Techno India etc. There are various scholarships for students and also students get financial assistance if they get above 8.5 CGPA and maintain it.

Campus Life :

There are no such annual fests of this college. Tech Fests are held by reputed companies like Infosys on important topics which are very beneficial for students. Books, Journals along Research Papers of many faculties are also available in the library. Classrooms are also well maintained and equipped with basic amenities. They are also very comfortable. There are two big playgrounds where students can play cricket, football, etc. Every year Interdepartmental Football Championship is held which is and a very exciting tournament.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
