Remarks :
I applied for Regional College Ajmer but didn't attend because the central university of Rajasthan has more choices of courses as compared to any other colleges. The admission process is simple you need to apply for the CUCET exam then you need to score approx 35 marks out of 100 in the exam and the minimum age is 16 years. After the declaration of marks, 30% of your 12th class marks are also added to the same and then the cut off is decided for a particular department. You can enrol in 3 subjects for counselling and then can choose one suitable subject based on your marks and convenience. There is a minimum of 30 seats in each department with reserved seats for different categories. There are two rounds of counselling, if any student leaves the university in between then in second counselling another student is given chance on that place.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the integrated MSc in the Biochemistry department because I want to become a professor of Biochemistry. The faculty is friendly with students and help every time when needed. Each faculty is a qualified professor whose done a PhD in their respective departments and their teaching method is awesome as they provide PDFs for easy learning and solve students doubt. After completion of each semester, there is a review of each faculty by students. The exam pattern is simple, there are two semesters in a year and in each semester there are two internal tests of 20 marks each and the semester comprises 60 marks out of which 21marks are mandatory to pass in every subject at the end of the semester exam and 7 marks are compulsory in the internal test so a total of 35 marks are compulsory to pass the semester. The level of exam is medium neither easy nor hard so students can pass them and if not then back papers are conducted for the students who failed the semester.
Internships Opportunities :
There are a lot of internship opportunities for the students in the university in every department. The university provides information about internship and student who are eligible for it. The university provides information regarding internship on its official website or on the official mail id which is given to each student so they can apply for it and take its advantage.
Placement Experience :
There are campus placements in university. The student becomes eligible after completing 6 semesters if he/she is graduated and 10 semesters if he /she is post graduated. Companies like Tata come for the placements. The rate of placement is quite lower than other universities and colleges in curaj but still, the students can get good placements with a good salary package. The highest offer is 98 LPA and the average offer is 21 LPA. My plan after getting a degree is to clear the net exam and to apply for PhD as I want to become a professor.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees structure is different for every even and odd semester. The total fees per semester are approx 25000 in which the fees is categorised in different fields like classroom fees +hostel fees +mess fees + security fees etc. The Student who gets top marks in the respective department in post-graduation or graduation is honoured with the gold medal and there is a scholarship for the students in their respective departments. In campus job, if the student is eligible to apply for a different post then he /she can join the campus job
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is superb as the campus environment is so peaceful and tranquillized. It's everywhere green and home-like experience. The infrastructure of the university is superb which includes a separate hostel for both boys and girls, classrooms, library, department, mess, gym, laboratories for each department and have good wifi connectivity at the campus. In the library, each kind of book is available which is required to students and even there are books available for the preparation of competitive exams. There are different club in the university which conducts different programmes like dance club, music club, cultural club, sports club etc. Sports facilities are good on the campus and the sports club organises different activities. There is also an election in the university which appoints a student leader who takes care of all the responsibility of the students to support them when needed.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels in the university are awesome as they provide every basic facility to the students. One room is alloted to three students and the basic things like bed, study table, cupboard etc are provided per individual in the room. The room is provided with two fan facility and the student can also ask for a cooler but an extra charge is applicable for that. The quality of food in mess is very good and the menu is different on each day of the week and there is a special meal on festivals and mess meeting is also conducted in which students can suggest something if they want to change the menu. The registration of the hostel is done after admission in respective departments. You need to submit the necessary documents and then you can allot your room. If the hostel is full and not allotted then you can take a room outside the university campus.
