Being a sahrdayan for 5 years

Remarks :

So I did my bachelors degree in the same college and wanted to continue there. I attended entrance examination CAT and was really easy to get admission here even though there were only limited seats. Sahrdaya was my first option and I got in here. To get an admission for PG you must not have any backlogs and also a minimum percentage of 60 is required for a bachelor's degree. I was thus qualified. I didn't take any hap between bachelors and masters.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I completed my B.Sc Computer Science in 2019 from the same college. And I wanted to have the masters of the same course. Almost all the faculties over there were familiar and the interaction became stronger because of the less strength of the class. We mostly sat in libraries with teachers. We even had private sessions according to our wish. The faculties were very helpful. Term exams happened like 2 times in a semester. Thus totally 8 times in the whole course. It was moderately difficult.

Placement Experience :

Even while doing my bachelor's in Sahrdaya I got an offer letter from Infosys. But I wanted to study so that I had to reject it. But this final I got it again. 3 out of five of my classmates got placed. 2.2 lakh per annum is offered by Infosys.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees were fixed and there was campus placement conducted by the end of the final year. Everything was conducted online because of this pandemic. I got an offer letter from Infosys lately. It took so long for the results to come out.

Campus Life :

Life at the campus was a little boring compared to the time I did my bachelors. Firstly I didn't have many friends there. So mostly it was about studies. But there were tech fest and management fest conducted which is the best time on campus. We'll have nighttime DJ and all which we missed last year cause of covid. Also, there were competitions held which was interesting according to the special days and occasions. The library is on the 4th floor where my classroom is next to it. It's a wide and beautiful library. Most of our study materials are available there

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose MSc mathematics at Farook College is because of the systematic curriculum they are to be provided. It is quite useful for getting a high-quality of education. They prepared real-world applications. I suggest the curriculum should be prepared according to the preferences of students. The exams ae semester-wise.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very interested in a teaching career especially teaching mathematics, so a teacher should understand the subject matter in depth, I chose to select MSc maths after completing my bachelor's degree. We have numerical analysis, cryptography, computer programming, and boolean algebra as papers of applied mathematics, we can find its applications in computer coding, data analysis, engineering, etc. We can be a data analyst after completing MSc maths, after studing a six-month data analysis course. The curriculum should be improved by giving a space for data analysis papers in one of the semesters. The frequency and timing of exams are well scheduled, the course is not surely an easy one but can be cracked by little effort.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our batch was in Covid lag batch. So the course curriculum was highly rushed. We weren't able to cover aspects which would have real world applications. The last semester research project was fine but still more hands on experience and more research oriented approach could've been taken .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a graduate in biotechnology so for me genomic science was ideal as I was interested in it. There could be more experiments in the practical sessions and more placement opportunities. As of now there are no placements. Also the department could bring in some international and national conferences too.

The placement opportunities are very high. We get a minimum package of 6.5 lakhs per annum and more. The top end companies like EY , Deloitte, Tcs , federal bank, IBM, Tetrapark etc.. are available for us.

Placement Experience:

There are departments with placements and university has got a placement cell. There are also various career guidance classes, Innovation and entrepreneurship development centre(IEDC) to support students. But my course is more of a research oriented and as such I can apply for phd opportunities myself. The faculties will help in getting internships, recommendations and journal publications as long as long as we are interested.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Talking about the course, as it is a pg course the main thing is the effort we put in this subject. The teachers has a limit and it is always the effort we put from our side to complete the course. Frankly speaking, the course is a tough one. Syllabus is so long that many things are there to study.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the placement in their final year of the course. We have BS-MS, MSc, IPhD and PhD currently. Students from BS-MS are more likely to be placed. Though placement is less as students mostly go for research after masters. We have a placement cell that notifies about the opportunities in industries and academia. As my plans are to pursue a PhD after getting this degree so I never got interested in placement opportunity.
