Remarks :
My admission was done through the state office located in Lucknow where I had my initial processing and formalities done so that every little paperwork could be done from nearby my home and if any corrections were required it would be quite convenient to do so. When I arrived at the campus there was a huge crowd that was very well organized and coordinated by the students of the college that guided the new students through the counseling process and locations. As most of my paperwork was done in the Lucknow office I had to do the minimum of the majority of students present there and that was very convenient as people who don't know the campus, it's quite huge and going back and forth to fulfill the formalities could've been a very tedious task. Then I was guided to my hostel and to sum it up, everything was processed in about 3-4 hours.
Course Curriculum Overview :
People have preconceptions about private colleges such as mine and I was also skeptical before I didn't experience it personally. The course I opted for was BBA, specializing in financial markets. I was particularly drawn to this course due to its perks, i.e; certification from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) along with my undergraduate degree. As my career goal is to become a stockbroker, this course provided me with exactly what I needed at this stage of my life. Not only the course and various certified NSE courses, but the faculty in LPU is also surprisingly qualified when compared to the negative rumors heard about it online. Throughout my college years, I've taken classes from lecturers with PHDs or Masters's degrees in their respective field of study and with years of teaching experience. Not only the qualifications of the teachers, but the examination structure and overall learning experience have been beyond my expectations.
Internships Opportunities :
Our college offers its students various internship opportunities but never bounds them to have to select one from the college itself. I personally did my summer internship from outside campus sources and that fact speaks for itself.
Placement Experience :
Students start sitting in placement drives from the second last year of their course. LPU has been a frontier in providing placements to its students in big MNCs. More than 500 top-tier companies come to the college for placements each year for students across the number of courses the university has to offer. LPU has been competing with the top colleges of the country in terms of the mean salary package offered in various courses in spite of the fact that it has over 35k students. Now that is a fact that is a humongous achievement on its own. Students graduating from LPU have been exposed to such a high standard of personal growth during their time in it, that they have gone and done wonders in various fields.
Fees and Financial Aid :
One of the main motivations behind my selection of this college was its fees and scholarship. When it comes to private colleges, the main thing every student considers after the academics and placement is the fee structure of the college and LPU has surprised me the most in this regard. To put it in words, LPU provides the best value for money education maybe in the entire country. (Considering the learning experience, personal growth, and job placements). I had to take the university scholarship exam called LPU NEST, and through that, I received a 40% scholarship in what was an already very reasonable fee structure. In my experience on the campus, 90% of the students had a scholarship of 40% or even more, some international students had up to 90%. The students who took admission through sports quota had a 100% scholarship with financial rewards on personal achievements representing the college. In terms of finance, LPU has no competition, hands down.
Campus Life :
Reading about the vast campus of LPU and living in it have a world of a difference. The campus ranges approximately 600 acres in area and that should give you an idea of the number of things in it. There are fests, seminars, competitions, and basically all sorts of events happening throughout the year. I really can't hype it enough, the life in the university gives you wings to fly in whichever direction you want, pursue whichever interest, one thing you'll never be short of is opportunity. With growing student family of nearly 35k students, there are hundreds of student clubs and societies formed within the college and each organises and runs number of events throughout the year. There is an eight story main library, then there are individual libraries in each department building where you go to study( for example mine being the management department). Sports is another world of its own with an indoor stadium that facilitates swimming pool, volleyball court, badminton court, etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Unlike other private colleges in the country, eating in the mess is not the only option student has. At LPU, there are a minimum of 50 food stalls outside each hostel building with a variety of food to eat from daily if one doesn't want to eat as per a fixed schedule. What more is there to need as far as food is concerned. Eat what you want when you want. There is also swiggy inside the college, so if you want a food item from the food stall that is far from your personal hostel, that can come to you. Coming to the hostel, accommodation comes as per the needs of the student. The rooms range from personal apartments to 2 seaters, and up to 5 seater rooms with the option of ac room and normal desert cooler room. Each hostel is eight-floors high, having a department store, a barber's shop, a canteen, a Xerox shop, a laundry system, and basically anything a student would require in general was available to them rather than having to go outside the college for them.
