Remarks :

I completed my BBA from CU and really liked this university because of it's amazing infrastructure and the kind of high level education and practical skills they were providing. It was already decided that I wanted to pursue an MBA program in the long run. I took CAT and was able to score as per CU criteria and I was an alumni of this college only so I was given preference, although the admission was done on merit basis. I also had to pay INR 1000 as the application fee while applying through the official website of the university.

Course Curriculum Overview :

My MBA program helped me develop the skills necessary to keep a company successful. Through the curriculum, I was able to improve leadership and people management skills, to network and create connections or partnerships crisis, public scandals, Keep the company's finances healthy, Promote and maintain the company?Ûªs positive image, create hierarchies that help the company thrive, make tough calls at the right time, and so much more. Also, here I was able to learn from faculty members well-known for its corporate know-how and academic credentials. Faculties of our MBA department were highly supportive and qualified mostly possessing PhD degrees with average experience of 12 years.

Placement Experience :

The placement of my university was definitely great and to enhance our skills, the university also conducts seminars, skills development session, training session for resume building and interviews to polish our qualities. To test our skills, more than 200 companies including Google, Deloitte, Microsoft, Amazon, Walt Disney, IBM, Flipkart, etc visited us during placement drives, I also attended it. The highest package offered was around INR 14 lakh.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

To study the MBA program at USB Chandigarh, I had to pay INR 195000 as one year fee and the total cost of my program was INR 3.90 lacs. I had to pay separately for the accommodation facilities and mess availability for each semester. However, there were various other financial assistance and scholarships offered to us from the institute which are either industry-sponsored or government-funded which can be availed based on the academic merit and eligibility.

Campus Life :

My life here at CU was very eventful as regular fests and other events were organized for us. The campus was very diverse, so there was not a single festival that was not celebrated here and always made me feel like home. Also, my college had almost every facility, like computers are available in labs with high-speed Wi-Fi, a huge soothing library, fully-equipped classrooms, and more. Other than this, my college also had various cultural clubs and committees who were responsible of arranging national level and inter-university competitions for us that let us nurture our instinctive talents and serve as a platform for us.

Hostel Facilities :

My campus here had separate hostels for boys and girls with an attached mess. All the hostels included basic amenities like water purifiers, common room, gym, salon, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security, and surveillance system.

Placement Experience:

Talking about the placements they offer majorly in Marketing and HR. That doesn't mean other specializations are not good but as compared to Marketing and HR they have fewer campus placement opportunities. The average package is around 3.5 LPA and the highest offered is 32 LPA. The highest package that students secure was 13 lpa offered by Federal Bank. Other than this some companies also offers around 7 LPA like Burger Pints and Asian Paints.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good only. Like I'm doing MBA, on first year we studied all the subjects - finance, marketing, HR, supply chain, everything. There were subjects that weren't that good and most students found them to be irrelevant one such subject was management lessons from ancient India.

Remarks:

UBS is a good college but not extraordinary. If you are willing to put your best effort them this is for you and if you are thinking that you are going to depend on your professors then don't come here. It's not par with IIM ofcourse, discussion of case studies will always depend upon the professor you got. Don't expect much. Good ROI definitely. So if you are happy with an average placement and don't want to take too much stress then this college is for you. But I'm repeating don't left IIM for UBS if it's not necessary.
