Remarks :

I applied in NUJS Kolkata, applied for BBA in KIIT, Odissa, and thereafter I decided to take law. I choose Law College Dehradun for the location. One of my family friends was there studying already. I was taken interview and I had to have a minimum of 60% marks in my 12th.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I wanted to study law and my college is locally a renounced in its locality. Faculty Student ratio- 1: 70. The best part of LCD is its faculties. they are extremely wise and experienced. Totally focused and helpful to the students. The administration is too good and discipline is a big concern for our college.

Placement Experience :

I was eligible from the 8th sem. Parashurami Legal was the one and only company that offered me an unpaid internship. 1% people get placed which is not up to the expectation after spending lakhs for the courses. I want to pursue LLM from abroad. Going abroad is the prime objective here.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are a little too high, it hiked 5% every session so technically, it is not the same as it is shown in the admission brochure always. I got no job from campus, the student leaders make the process complicated sometimes. Got a legal internship once.

Campus Life :

Yuva Fest is our college Fest, I am not aware of the tech fest, the campus is expanded and I am from the law dept. our college has one library and a central library for the whole university. The library is very substantial and a great part of its infrastructure. The hostel life is little to be focused on. The atmosphere has to include some mental health support to students, it's really unhealthy.

Placement Experience:

It does not provide a good placement in comparison to other universities but it gives an average package of 6 lakhs to 8 lakhs. This university has specialisation in the management i.e. BBA and BCOM course so it provides better placements for that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The law subjects are nice and essential for the law students. The law subjects are interesting but we do have subjects which are unwanted and irrelevant like managing relationships or learning how to unlearn, etc. The exams takes place offline and 6-7 papers get finished in 15 days so we start and finish our academic year early.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is good, events like judges interaction and competitions are organised like moot courts, trial advocacy and mun to prepare us for the professional world, there are no such improvements needed but i think the syllabus should be shorter.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is quite decent. There are lots of companies that come but most of the students are not interested in placement because our courses are not the type that gets help from placement. 70 to 80 percent of students get placement. My plan is to start my own law farm.

I've a family of advocates and I chose DAV because I qualified the CUET examination, overall the studies are good in my opinion and exams can sometimes be difficult to clear because law is a very dynamic field and one has to be up to the mark for attainment of knowledge

In the last year of the course, students can appear in the exam of campus placement. The placement is good here. Students can get a minimum 15,000 stipend as a freshman in the law firm. They also give tuition for judiciary exams also. I planned to appear in the judicial exam after my course.
