Remarks :
I applied for PSIT College of Engineering only and I got in by my UPSEE entrance exam rank. I got in by the third round of counseling. The minimum criterion for admission is 60 percent in class 12th and the minimum age is 17. The admission was smoothly conducted on the counseling day as the management was very helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science Engineering because, from an early age, computers always attracted me so I turned my enthusiasm to my dream and the future scope is also considerably high in the current time. There is quite a good number of faculties in the college. The college faculty have good knowledge about the subject so my interest is also maintained throughout this time. Class tests and assignments are conducted every month and it was not that difficult to pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities are not high we have to apply through Internshala. But we apply in many nonofficial ways like seeing the sites and we get many opportunities from the student ambassadors of different organizations and this is the best way to get an internship so many students to go for that.
Placement Experience :
From the 6th semester onwards, the placements are started for the students. Mass recruitment is done by Infosys and TCS with some other companies. The package is not very high. The highest package is 8 LPA and the average package is about 3.5 LPA. I will have to see other options like GATE and off-campus placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are considerably high in my point of view because of the average placement opportunities. In psit we get an average of 3.5 LPA package and by our investment but the scholarship helps a lot to students but it's not certain that you will get a scholarship so I would think the fee structure is not good. Fees for CS/IT branch for the session 2020-21 is Rs 1.7 LPA and for other branches, it is about Rs. 1.4 LPA.
Campus Life :
The campus at psit can be called mediocre as it has the greenery and beauty but it always lacks in space some classes have the theatre-type style and benches but not all, so it's kind of a mixed situation. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. There are two libraries in the college. Labs are also well equipped. The club is shut down so it's a bit hard to see that part of the college experience.
