Remarks :
I choose this college because it is located in my local and have a good reputation among all private colleges in up. They have also a good placement record from the last 10 years. The good aspects about this college are that they provide quality education and focus more and more on studies. They have good infrastructure and well-maintained labs. And also have a good placement record. A company like Infosys, TCS and Capgemini comes regularly and Hier good amount of students from this college. And bad aspects of this college are they have less intrest in extra curriculum activity. They conduct very little extra activity. Therefore student with multiple desire can not be able to learn new things. There are two ways by which anyone can take admission. The first one is the direct process in this way we have to pass a small quiz test and accordingly, we can select the branch. The second one is bypassing the Aktu University examination. We can prefer college because it has a good placement record and better education.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Information Technology because I have good intrest in computer software and little bit interest in computer hardware. And one more reason to choose this course is that there is a good placement record for the branches of computer science and information technology. Some of the faculties are highly experienced and trained and they have the ability to provide better information and education. but some of the assistant faculties have not so much experienced to share knowledge properly and have very little experience that how to teach. But most of the faculties are PhD holder and when we talk about the interaction between student and faculties then there is full freedom is to interact with them and also anyone can meet up personally for doubts purpose. There will be one assignment every month, one Ct every 2 months, 1 pre-university exam and in university exam. Assignment and CT are not so much difficult but we have to prepare hard for university and pre-university exam.
Placement Experience :
The college has a good placement record. And college also provides opportunities for off-campus placement. Students become eligible after 6 semesters of the 8-semester journey. Some students apply and get a job at the first attempt. On Average students get 4-5 lack annually but some of them also get a higher package of 10 to 12 lacks. Companies like Infosys, TCS and Capgemini comes annually and heir good amount of students. On average 60% of students get jobs and placement from the college. And some of them also got placement from off-campus. My plan after getting the degree is to get a job in a product based company.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
PSIT College of Engineering is not an affordable college for lower-middle-class family's students because it's one of the most expensive private colleges in Uttar Pradesh and also it is one of the most expensive colleges of AKTU University. Basic academic fees are 1,10,000 and other training and curriculum activities fees are 50,000. The total cost we have to pay as a day scholar is 1,60,000?. But if you are a hostler then you have to pay 80,000 additionally for the hostel. Students can feel relief by taking scholarship from the government. And there is also some scholarship program for students who got good marks in the entrance examination. Overall it's not cheap you have to pay approx 1.6 lacks. But ultimately it's worth it.
Campus Life :
There are two major fests that PSIT COE organizes one is "Waves" which conducted for the freshers of the college. In this event, new students participate and interact with seniors. They showcase their performance like dance, singing, acting, drama and modelling. The winner got a good price for their performance. But the most important fest is Ignitia where students participate in every type of activities and also some students open stall for their project and showcase their tech and non-tech project. In this event, famous celebrity comes and increase the level of excitement. Overall it's the best fest that college organize. College gives you curriculum books for a whole semester without charging any fees. And we can also issue other books for study and knowledge but only for 10 days and if you want to continue you can issue it again. Sports and other activities are not so much supported by the college but the college organizes some events where some students can participate. There are not active clubs.
