Remarks :

This college is having good faculties and the infrastructure is very good. Food provided for all the 3 times and for lunch entire college can have food in campus itself with no cost for it. It has awesome library and international research center to have good analysis on your research paper. Transport facility is provided for entire location of Chennai. So anyone within Chennai city can easily avail bus facilities to come and go from college. Admission process id to seamless and one can get sit as per the merit list from common entrance exam conducted by college itself. I have preferred this college over others because it has very good placement opportunities. And many companies visit during the 3rd yr course end to recruit.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I would like to be an IT engineer so have opted for same over others. All facilities are very supportive and clear the doubts raised by student without any delay. Student ratio is 50-50 and on an average every year there are around 4000-5000 students pass . Faculties are well educated with most of them having master or completed P.HD. Exams or assessment used to conduct every half yearly one semester. Within a semester we have 2 internal assessment and one can easily clear it if kept concentration in class room during the course .

Class Size : 75Course Fees : INR 130000 per year

Placement Experience :

By the end of 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Many companies used to visit every year. Naming some of them include wipro, cognizant, Amazon, wells fargo, intellect etc. Highest package ever offer was 16 L.P.A and average package is 3 L.P.A Around 70-80% of students got placed every year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Every year we paid an amount of 130000 INR and hostel fee extra of 50000 INR. College used to provide scholarship to lower castes and also one can opt for government scholarships. By the end of 3rd yr, most of the companies started visiting the college for recruitment process. If we see an scale, every year around 79-80% of students get placed with an average package of 3 L.P.A.

Campus Life :

Annual fest used to be conducted every year with some of the famous icon used to be invited to the campus as part of chief guest. All most all the books can be found in library. One can get competition books, stories, fiction and academic related reference books. During some fest , college used to conduct sports and events in which any can be part and show their sportsmanship. Classrooms are well ventilated and electronic water filters are available for drinking water.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
