Remarks :

CIT has a good and supportive faculty especially our CSE branch. It also has a good learning environment equipped with advanced labs and a library. Even during the pandemic, we are being provided with timely online classes along with lab sessions. Honestly speaking, the only difficulty I face is that CIT is far from the main Kolkata but with good transportation and being close to Uluberia railway station you might not find it much difficult. Our college took admission either of JEE and WBJEE ranks. I took admission based on my WBJEE rank. The admission process takes place soon after the result declaration of WBJEE each year. Actually, I selected my college after checking more than a dozen colleges online.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have my an interest in Computer Science from the very beginning so, I preferred the same in my course. We have highly qualified faculty members. Most of them are doctorates and some are postgraduates. We have on-time assessments and tests, all conducted under MAKAUT.

Class Size : 40Course Fees : INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

CIT offers internship opportunities too in order to get its students of real-world exposure and working life experience. Also one can apply for various interns available online too using faculty recommendations. Internships are given on the basis of projects made and various programming skills(for CSE, IT & ECE).

Placement Experience :

CIT has a great placement history, especially for the CSE branch. Job offers are started from the end of the 7th sem. This year many popular companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, Byju's, MAC software hired students from our college. Apart from these, there are many other companies too. For this year highest package offered was 12 LPA by Jari & HSBC and the average package was 3.5 LPA. Almost everyone except those who prefer higher studies is placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

CIT has an affordable fees structure of 37500 per semester. The college also has it's own separate hostels for boys and girls. But if you are financially weak you may find many scholarships to continue your studies easily. CIT helps to get scholarships to anyone in need.

Campus Life :

CIT organises various activities and programmes each year, though due to pandemic only one event was organised till my 2nd year. The event included tree plantation, singing, dancing, drama, debate, sports and many more.

Interview Experience :

They only ask for your WBJEE/JEE results, your 12th and 10th percentage/CGPA, that's all. All your selection is done on your rank secured. You need to have a valid 12th mark sheet, rank certificate of WBJEE/JEE, identification certificate/card, domicile certificate (for WB state candidates only) and caste certificate (if eligible).

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
