Remarks :
The main reason for opting for this institute is the course offered, which is an integrated program in management. (BBA+MBA) This is a similar course that has been offered by IIM INDORE and IIM ROHTAK, which is very unique in nature. Institute of Management Nirma university was a backup option for me. Not on a level with IIM, but still IMNU is a great place to study as the course and faculty are at par with IIM.placements are also decent with mean being 12LPA and highest being more than 25 LPA. Keeping all that in mind also to explore the most advanced city in India right now, I chose IMNU as it also has a brand name among industries and is considered as the best private management institute in Gujarat. Also, I was granted a 50 percent scholarship due to merit so it was a win-win for me. But cons include that I am paying a hefty sum even after `
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it's a multi-disciplinary one. It includes a plethora of subjects which includes but is not limited to commerce-related subjects like eco, accounts to humanities-related, like Indian polity, psychology, sociology, etc. in short this course teaches everything that an ideal manager must-have. There are a total of 217 students in one batch which is divided into 3 divisions. The faculty is understanding and the classes are held on the cisco Webex meet. Some of the faculties are quite good but as a science student, I faced difficulty in understanding commerce-related subjects and had to use youtube for reference. The final score of a semester depends on CEE AND TEE, cee is an evaluation based on quizzes, assignments, etc and TEE is the end term examinations. the exams were conducted on LMS moodle software and it was all smooth and difficulty varied from subject to subject.
Internships Opportunities :
As first-year Internships at ngo are provided without stipends. however, during the summer break of the third year of the course, the institute provides internship opportunities with corporate giants and it is mandatory.
Placement Experience :
The record of placements has been average with the median salary offered to be 12lpa. Being a fresher I've experienced the imnu placement cell to be efficient as they are responsible to grant internships to every student at NGO's and even during the pandemic every student got placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee for the BBA phase is around 2.25 lakh per year, for initial 3 years. there are two types of scholarships available. merit and merit cum means. I am a recipient of a 50 percent scholarship based on merit which will renew every year if the conditions are full filled like maintaining a cgpa of 7 and above etc. University provides with internships at ngo in 1st year and a company in 3rd year.
Campus Life :
Due to lockdown, I haven't even seen the campus once, but committees and clubs are great and organize events on a regular basis, The Rotaract club is very active but NSS is not so much active as compared to other colleges. Recently i organized the annual cultural fest of imnu named genesis on an online platform and it was a huge success, Dont knows about campus but virtual life at imnu is fun.
Interview Experience :
Questions were mainly on the subjects related to the class 12 stream. Along with that general awareness, questions were asked. 3 professors took my pi. to reach the stage of pi one must clear the cutoff in ipmat iim Indore exam, however in the year 2020, due to pandemic merit of classes 12 and 10 was considered. Therefore, in pi too more focus was given to questions related to class 10 and 12.
