Remarks :
Admission was as per allotment by MGU-CAP. I got allotted in 1st allotment. I tried to look for further allotments but I think they have blocked my admission. I had to submit the documents of the 10th and 12th certificates and fill out an application form. The admission process is very simple. This college is like a school only. No college atmosphere. The teaching faculty is good. I went to this college because I did not get admission to other colleges in MGU CAP.
Course Curriculum Overview :
B.com Finance and Taxation is a good course as it covers accounting and Tax aspects. Student: The faculty ratio is 45:1. Teachers are good and very supportive. Exams were as per MGU instructions. Timely tests were conducted. Internals are given to max if you perform decently. National and Regional strikes affected conducting of exams.
Placement Experience :
From the 5th semester, students became eligible for placements. Some marketing and sales companies came but due to a lack of proper coordination placements were not conducted properly. A very low percentage of students got placed as most did not wish to be placed with the companies that came there. I planned for post-graduation so did not care about placements. If you plan for Post-Graduation, then study here and PG in a better college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I got admission in merit via MGU-CAP, so fees were Rs.11,500 per semester. Fees changed if you get admitted via management quota. There were no other extra costs. I did not get any scholarships while studying there.
Campus Life :
During Last semester a Fest was conducted. All types of activities were included, but funding was limited. The college has only a small library but has daily 6 newspapers both in English and Malayalam. Classrooms are normal like in Schools. Only some were smart. Sports was for namesake as the college did not have a ground. Some clubs are there and once we collected funds to give for an old-age home.
