An experience worth having

Remarks :

BHU has a separate entrance test for its MBA AB course. Eligibility is a minimum of 50% in graduation (B.Sc and allied disciplines are only eligible for applying). Admission is purely merit-based with respect to each category. Shortlisted candidates are invited for a Group discussion along with a personal interview. The overall combined score of three phases decides the admission. The program is currently running on the South campus of BHU. Campus experience is unmatched for those who love to engross with nature. Basic amenities are there, although the scope of development is colossal. And the best thing is you can get all these experiences for a cheaper fee than other B schools. The fee is around 2 lakh for two years.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is coupled with case studies (which are given mostly as homework), filled with real-world business problems and solutions. The faculty here in IM, BHU is quite decent with most of the professors and associate professors have industry experience and have a good teaching methodology along with vastly interactive sessions. The faculty-student ratio is great nearing about 1:10.

Internships Opportunities :

There are summer placements on our campus, which are generally over till the middle of the second semester. The Summer Internship Placement team ensures the whole process goes smoothly and all the students get placed within due time.

Placement Experience :

Most of the prestigious companies visit campus. IDBI Bank, Federal Bank, Ujjivan, Berger Paints, IFFCO, SBI Life, ICICI Bank, Prism Cement, VNR Seeds, ADM Agro are some of our major recruiters. The previous year's average package was around 6.5 LPA with 11 LPA being the highest. Subjected to the course fee which is around 2 lakh for two years, this gives a minimum ROI of 325%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

University fee is around 2 lakh ( includes the special course fee) for 2 years, excluding hostel and food charges. UP Scholarships can be availed by those students living in UP. These scholarships are given every year to eligible students.

Campus Life :

Campus experience is unmatched for those who love to engross with nature, maybe featureless for those who love busy campus life. You will get to meet people from all kinds of backgrounds. Basic facilities like hostels, cafe, health center, library, playground, including all other kinds of amenities, although the scope of development is colossal.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are there within the campus for both boys and girls. Hostels are very much affordable charging yearly for a shared room (2 students per room). Meal charges are not included with the hostel fee and provide decent quality food and service.

Interview Experience :

BHU has its own entrance test for MBA Agribusiness. Shortlisted candidates are invited for Group discussion and personal interviews. Final admission is done as per the final rank obtained after group discussion and interview.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester of the course, students become eligible for final placements. ISAB is maintaining 100% final and summer internship placements since its inception and we are looking forward to maintaining the record. The placement cell is very active and supports students in their campus placement ventures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course of agribusiness because like after BSc in agriculture you can go for MSc in agriculture or MBA in agribusiness. I don't want to prepare for Ph.D. in the government sector so there is a better scope of an MBA in the private sector rather than an MSc in agriculture. Another reason for doing MBA is placement. The placement ratio of MBA students is better than m.sc students and salaries are also good. Another reason is in the private sector and MBA degree holders will get better promotions than average MSc degree holders. On my campus, there are 46 students in MBA agribusiness and 7 to 80% of them will surely get a minimum package of 350000 and a maximum package of 8 lacs. The guest faculty of MBA agribusiness is quite good. There are some teachers who are not as good as others but there is a 100% guarantee of course completion. Semester exams are not quite easy or too difficult if you will focus a little bit on your studies you will easily get pass. Semester exams are delayed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The trimester exam was there and it is pretty difficult to pass and have very good projects to work on plus the faculty is very good for finance. I am fortunate to be here. All the faculty is doctorate who are teaching plus have a very wide range of practical experience and links at big companies. The faculty is approachable. The college is very regular in respect of course and exam schedule. The course provides in-depth knowledge and exposure to students to real-life problems.

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for internships in any semester but for jobs, they are eligible by their end year only. Companies like Wipro, Paytm, Byjus, HSBC bank, Amazon visits the campus in the management department and almost 65 percent of the students get internship easily based on their skills. And for jobs, the highest package in management was 12 lakhs per annum and the average is 4 to 5 lakhs per annum.
