Entrance Preview :
Cleared the HP PG Entrance exam in 2011 got the 38 ranks and got admission through counseling. I opted for this college as it is one of the best in the region with good infrastructure and one of the finest faculty in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Great exposure to research and college management always boosts up the morale of research scholars. There are many national-level prizes won by PG students of different branches and even I won 2 prizes. There are many cde program's fone in college to keep our knowledge up to date and many extracurricular activities.
Internships Opportunities :
After post Graduation there is no internship in a medical or dental college there are no such companies coming to provide placement but college provides jobs to all the good students in college itself the experience for this college cant is explained just in words.
College Events :
There is freshers day, annuals day, sports week, farewell, Lohri night celebrated each year, and alumni day every 4 years a fest is organized in college every year. In which students prepare dishes themselves and sell them at affordable prices. There is the healthy active involvement of staff everywhere in college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Very feasible compare to other colleges in the region. Fees can be paid in two installments in special cases. No extra charges were taken like in other colleges no extra burden on parents and get more than of every paisa u pay a fee. Even canteen inside has nominal rates and store inside college sells every I instrument at discounted no profit no loss basis.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarship is given to meritorious students each year college arranges meeting with banks so that students can get loans if needed. Very transparent system and helpful people in administration as well as accounts department.
Campus Life :
The male to female ratio is 70 -30 and many extracurricular activities can be done in college. Facility for table tennis, basketball, cricket, volleyball, badminton, football. Students from all over India of near about 14 states. Northeast students are also there. There is a separate canteen for veg and non-veg and a Chinese canteen is also there. Attached hospital has good facility for students if needed and there is medical shop inside hospital open 24 hours and college is not far away from market well connectivity and only 5 min drive. Very near to Dehradun, Yamunanagar, and Chandigarh. Nice climate in the area.
Hostel Facilities :
Very nicely maintained with options of ac and tv in the room basketball court and gym and football ground cricket ground and the best part is these are highly secured for girls as well as boys there is a common mess for boys and girls and very good and hygienic food with a different menu every day and week there is nice open area to walk around inside campus.
Alumni/Alumna :
All the seniors and alumni are helpful and stand with you whenever need they are like a family to students.
Exam Structure :
Post-graduation exams are always hectic but in such an environment which is there in college, you learn so much throughout the course that even exams are not of much worry were good labs with all the armament u need for research.
Admission :
I was called for counseling in Shimla and the branch I was interested in Himachal institute of dental sciences, Paonta sahib moreover faculty here was the best in the region. The administration was very good even arranged for our food while we were waiting for our turn in counseling the admission procedure was very much easy and even management had no problem with me for a fee in two installments.
Faculty :
One of the best in the region all the faculties are regular and intelligent. Ready to help students teachers even sacrifice their lunchtime if students have any queries in studies. A good no of patients are their hospital and many implant surgeries are being done in college every other day.
