Remarks :
Good aspects: College provides specialization with BTech Computer Science. There are students from different countries this helps in networking and good communication skills. There are other departments like dental law and medicine in the same campus this helps in building a strong network with students in different fields. Due to the specialization course, you get to meet students who are interested in the specific field of your choice. The transport system is satisfactory. Hostels are good. Bad aspects: University is in development phase lots of construction work happening all time. Heavy fine for attendance criteria and to reappear for the exam. On-campus placement is not good only good students get good opportunities. Sports engagement is very low. Computer labs are not that good. Admission process: their entrance exam fees are around 1200 or if above 90 in your board exam directly appear for interview(basic 12 class topics asked). Chose this college because of speclization. I took advice from a relative.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose BTech with Data Science because I was interested in the data science field when I read about all the fields of computer science. Faculties are good. They taught from the basics and touched on some difficult topics. The junior faculty changes very often which creates the problem we have to adapt to new faculty and sometimes lose interest in the topic. Senior faculty are good explains well. Faculty to student ratio is about 1:5. Some faculties are not able to explain in English which creates a problem for international students. Assistant professor below PhD level some doing research. The senior professor has a PhD in their field and some are very good. Teachers for specialization have a PhD in a specialised subject. They start from basics and goes to more difficult topics international students face some difficulty. There are two terms in a sem mid and end-term. 15% weightage for assignments. Exams were easy to pass paper have questions from all topics.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, we get a lot of internship opportunity as there are lots of startups in greater Noida area. I have not experienced internship as of now but some seniors got an internship in Byjus. For our summer internship project, we worked on a web-based portal which connects renter and rentee on the basis of their likes and dislikes it was aimed to help students and employees who come to new region find better roommates.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for campus placements in the third year of their course. Some good companies come for on-campus placements like IBM and some greater Noida startups also. Average is around 7 lacs. Highest is around 10 lacs. Percentage of students placed is above 50 percent. First I am focusing on learning.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Course fees are good relative to other private colleges you will get specialization for the same price. Try to get a scholarship in the entrance exam or merit-based scholarship for the first year. Then try to continue it with good GPA. Or you can get into a summer internship in college where you can get various jobs such as an assistant or in admission cell or lab assistant. Heavy fine on violating attendance criteria 5000 rupees and to reappear for exam 2000 per subject. Hostel fees are also a little expensive but the hostel facilities are good. Transport fees are around 50k to 60k max and the bus facilities are good with a/c buses. Food inside the campus is good and cheap. Stationary inside the campus has normal prices as well.
Campus Life :
CHORUS is the annual fest of university I attended it in the first year missed the second due to covid. It was like a festival with different departments organising some activities and there were regional performances where students from different countries and states got a chance to showcase their cultural dances and performances. There were DJ nights and good artists all campus was lit up and decorated and there were transport facilities at night and students were allowed to stay in the hostel also. There are different libraries in the campus department wise and one big library which has books for every department. Some novels and good magazines are not there but for academics, the library has good resources. Classrooms are good but the smartboard quality is not good in some classes. There are grounds for every major sport but university do not have good sports and activities culture don't have a sporting event expect in annual function. Clubs: technical debate event management etc.
Hostel Facilities :
There are various hostels inside the university campus department wise and gender-wise and personal rooms also. Personal rooms are expensive to have a small room. And then there is a room with a single roommate with or without ac. We are given a bed and a locker and study table inside the room. The bathroom is common for a floor with enough space. Meal quality is satisfactory and healthy. The menu has good options. The hostel is a little expensive inside campus but outside campus, you can save up to 20k if you can manage. The locality is a good small market is walking distance and a big market we can take public transport for 10 rupees.
Interview Experience :
You can give an entrance test or can directly proceed to interview if you have above 90 in boards. The test had basic questions of 11 and 12 class MCQ questions and in an interview, they asked about basic computer science questions and some formulas of physics. I was prepared as I recently gave boards exam and just had to revise some concepts.
