Remarks :

The College offers a good safe atmosphere for students both boys and girls to study, but it lacks in extracurricular activities, it also has good sports fields for many outdoor and indoor sports like Cricket Grounds, Football Field, Running/Athletic track, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Badminton Courts (Indoor/Outdoor), Table Tennis Court, Handball Ground & A Swimming Pool. As it is a government institution, it has well-qualified teachers but lack of modern approach and equipments. This Institution has 2 libraries, one library is 24x7 open library for the students, it also has 4 Hostel with the mess which are 2 Boys Hostel (Aryabhatt Hostel & Roop Singh Hostel) and 2 Girls Hostel (Mrignayani Hostel & Tatya Tope Hostel). Our Institute also has 3 canteens which offer moderate food. The Jiwaji University organises an entrance exam and direct admission process both. I choose this because it is my city and it is one of the biggest oldest university of Northern Madhya Pradesh.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I'm from a law background, I choose this course and this institution is one of the oldest to offer the Law Course. Our Institute offers B.A. LL.B., B.Com. LL.B., LL.M., M.Phill. & PhD. Courses. There are almost 55-60 Students in classes of BA LLB & Bcom LLB in all the 5 years, and 30-40 Students in LLM classes of both the 2 years and 20 students in M.Phill & 10 in PhD, There is a Dean Of Law Faculty, A Head Of The Department, 5 Permanent Faculty and approx 15 Guest Faculty in the Department. The Permanent Faculty are selected by the exam conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) for the post of Assistant Professor, & the Guest Faculty are selected by the interview process of University Officials, it has Minimum criteria of Mphill or PhD in Law. They teach by the Orthodox method and in some courses, they teach by the Online Classes System. The Major problem is the time of exams as it's never according to the scheduled date but they comparatively to pass in.

Internships Opportunities :

The college offers off-campus internship, under the Lawyers, who are on the panel of the college. For one month you have to do the internship and make files and get a certificate from them to get marks in that subject of the internship.

Placement Experience :

This is the biggest weakness of the institution, as there is a Campus Placement Cell but it doesn't have any work to do, because there are very few students in the history of this institution, who were placed from campus. They got the Pay scale of 15,000/- to 50,000/- per month, by the Companies like Gillette, Bajaj, Kotak Mahendra, etc. And some Law Firms. The Students of 9th & 10th Semester ie. The final year of UG degree. Generally, Students from our college opt for Litigation Practice in the High Court & Subordinate Courts. And other students go in the Judiciary after clearing the exam of Civil Judge. Every year almost 4-6 students become Civil Judge. I will certainly go to the Litigation Practice ie Advocacy in The Higher Courts.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As it is a government University, comparatively it's fees structure is economic for an ordinary household. It's fess for B.A. LL.B & B.Com. LL.B is between 13,000/- to 14,000/- per semester. And it also offers the scholarship for the students of Schedule Cast, Schedule Tribe & OBC. It also has a Campus Placement Cell, which places students in private companies for the Post of Legal Advisor/Legal Executive for the Pay Scale of 15,000/- to 50,000/- per month.

Campus Life :

The Institution organises an Annual Cultural Fest every year named 'U-Fest', and Annual Sports Meet Named 'Law Premier League - LPL'. The Annual Cultural fest is generally conducted in the month of October every year and the Annual Sports Meet is conducted in the month of March every year. There is a Library in the Institute Campus just for Law and 2 Big Libraries in the University Campus, in which 1 Library is a 24×7 open Library for the students. The classroom are with normal & moderate equipment with a green board, a podium and desk & beaches, some classroom have an online Class system as well. The institute has its own Seminar Hall with a capacity of 500 people and a Conference Hall. The institute also has the Main component which a law college needs, that is a well equipped 'Moot Court' Room. The Regular In-house moot courts are organised for the students and every year State & National Moot Court Competitions are also organized. Even some cultural programs are organised every month.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for college placements only in the last semester. There is an active placement cell and the college tries to make an impression of good placements, yet the ground results lack. Only a few students get placed and despite high hopes, students take a drop for one or two years just to prepare for placements. The highest package has been 8.1 LPA and the lowest has been around 1.92 LPA, I guess. Yet, the average is low. Only 5% of students get campus placements and the rest land jobs through their efforts and referrals.

Placement Experience:

They have provides 100% placement assistance to us. The students wanted to go for corporates have got placed successfully. The highest package was 8.1 at our time , and companies were very good like trans-india law associates, tri legal, luthra and luthra etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very much satisfied with the course as well as with the institute, as they are providing good exposures to the students apart from classroom learning like internships, trainings, moot court sessions, seminars by judges and advocates, International and National worship and certified diploma programs along with the courses.
