Nikhil.cv's Review On Amrita School Of Arts And Sciences - [ASAS] Amritapuri, Kollam

Entrance Preview :

We have to attend the Amrita Entrance exam, which is accredited by Amrita University for applying to the Arts courses in the University. I had secured 29th Rank and had a chance to join as a meritorious Student. The Facilities, infrastructures and the Quality based education made me to Choose the College for my graduation.

Internships Opportunities :

No College as such don't provide internship programs. But as already mentioned in this college there is no absolute No cases. The College do provide Internship for meritorious and to do certain new innovative ideas. The college also provides and bares all the expense incurred in that time. Also there are few internship with Nominal Stipends at the time of semester vacations with the knowledge enhancement sessions.

Placement Experience :

There are 100% Placement for those who seeks or those who are willing for a placement. Amrita gives opportunity for all those who needs or those who seek for it. Amrita being a Best emerging college in India. A number of Companies from both Domestic and international are attending the placement drive to pick the intellectual Students of Amrita.

College Events :

College of Engineering and College of Arts are shared in one building, stands under one common roof, celebrates all the events both of Management and tech fest like brothers of same family. We had students from across India thus making it a multi cultural and respects all the religions and faiths equally. hence it is a festive occasion through out the year. Mainly we have 3 Events.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have no much idea of the loans or Scholarship schemes offered by the colleges. But the college provides one good opportunity university exchange scheme which offers Meritorious student a opportunity to go and learn from a set of colleges abroad for 1 semester with the same fees paid to the college here, rest will be born by the university.

Campus Life :

Amrita has all the infrastructure required. The Gender wise it is nearly 50% girls and 50% Boys. It has all the amenities in it. You just have to name it. from Robotics to Sports you have all sort of excellence over there. So it is better to call a distant home away from your parents.

Exam Structure :

There are 2 internals and 1 End Semester exams. there are multiple internals that would be considered for Continuous evaluation. There is 40% weightage for the 2 internals combined and 20% weightage for the continuous assessment and 40% for the End semester exam. Thus making a performance based evaluation pattern.

Admission :

As mentioned above the institution has entrance exam of their own. Having cleared the Entrance exam, they called for a counselling session and from the counselling i had chance to decide the course that i prefer. Since being in the merit list i had a chance to choose my preference.

Faculty :

Faculties are qualified, few are PHD holders and rest are under going their PHD. They are student friendly and can be approached any time. Even other department faculties are friendly and can help you clear all the clarifications that you have for 3-4 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well to be honest I just randomly choose this one. However there are a lot of benefits to this course. We could get jobs in many companies. The course is easy. There are no suggestions from me because I can't think of things that's need to be improved. It's alright from now itself

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is often traditional and that doesn't influenced me much. I think the curriculum is needed to be improved and regular updation must be added to the curriculum. More practical oriented aspects of the subjects must be provided to the students. Also real time experience with the domain will increase the skill set of the students and make them fit for the industry.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a commerce student i have always been interested in accounting and business so it was a good idea to choose BBA. Course provides deep learning about the inner activities for starting and maintaining a enterprise. It would have better if they provide an internship along with the 3 year course so that students can get to know about the subject directly

Course Curriculum Overview:

Anyone who wants to persue their career in management or administration sectors they can chose for BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration ) program from ST. PAULS COLLEGE KALAMASSERY. Every course requires some hardworks and preparations. This improvise your capabilities for implementing the applications of several subjects which are taught in this program. The timings of the exams along with the semester lessons are quite managable. You will be providing greater job opportunities if you have the potential to continue the advanced versions of your programs which you will be gaining from your UG level.
