Maria Benny's Review On St. Xavier's College, Mumbai

4.0 /5

Remarks :

Had heard a lot about the college especially in terms of their management and the number of opportunities that they provided to the students in the college. And I chose BA because I'm really not fit to be in science and not exactly a science person. And Xavier's has the best to give when it comes to arts.

Course Curriculum Overview :

All the faculties were really good and the curriculum was pretty good too. Everything was balanced and we did have study trips in our junior college. Every single faculty was quite understanding about the condition and the situation of the students. The sociology department was really great.

Placement Experience :

I think the placements going out from Xavier's are quite great. Especially the internships that the second years have during their second year of senior college. The college tries its best to engage the students to the best institutions for their placements.

College Events :

The extracurricular events are quite great in Xavier's. Especially the amount of people volunteering to work in those fests. It brings a whole different dynamic and experience that you don't get anywhere else. It helps you mature even more and helps you to learn to take up duties and responsibilities.

Campus Life :

The campus is really amazing, especially the infrastructure. The libraries are the best. Tons of books to refer to for your referencing during exams. Though the wi-fi isn't that great. But it's still bearable. Overall the infrastructure is really great.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students apply for masters after FLAME. However, flame also has a placement committee which helps the students apply for jobs. We get multiple companies on campus during the placement period and students are also given proper training sessions on how to sit for interviews which helps them prepare.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course overall is designed in modern pattern of learning. There is no bookish theory happening whole semester. This course helps to do more practical stuff than theory which is pretty good for this side of stream

Placement Experience:

The placement drive is okay in the college. I didn't enroll myself for placements so won't be able to give much idea. But as far as I've heard from my friends, many companies came and many of my friends have been placed in companies like Deloitte.
