Student's Review On Lady Irwin College, New Delhi

Remarks :

I chose this college because of it's safe and high security deployed location. The connectivity is excellent and you have metro station, bus stand and auto stand within radius of a kilometre. Since I wanted to learn about various aspects of food and nutrition, I opted for this course in this college as the fees is quite nominal. It's also well equipped with necessities around.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The teachers here are highly qualified and experienced, with commendable teaching techniques. They are supporting, amiable and always willing to help. They also conduct various industrial visits, seminars, conferences and activities to enhance our practical and theoretical skills. The course is extensively detailed and covers most of the portions of this discipline to make us industry ready.

College Events :

The crowd is huge and fantastic. Annual fest, DJ evening, inter college and inter society competitions are organized by the college which witness participation in a large numbers. Extracurricular activities take place on various levels and it's completely an enjoyable environment to participate in them.Founder's day, fresher talent contest for new students, farewell and freshers party are also conducted every year.

Campus Life :

The foundation of this college is old as it was established many years ago. But, unlike other Delhi University colleges, our college has a far better infrastructure. It has newly built buildings and A/C, Wifi and CCTV facilities. The furniture is well furnished, with a well-maintained lawns and gardens. There are many places for various societies to conduct their activities. The campus is huge, full of greenery with beautiful flora. Other facilities include hygienic and affordable cafeteria, labs, computer resource centre, auditorium, sports room, enormous library, medical room, seminar rooms, hostel, basketball court, amphitheatre, primary school and creche etc.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements during the final semester of M.Sc Electronics. Companies that visit Jamia are Airtel, TCS, Hitachi, Wipro, AT&T, and Samsung. All students were 100% placed in these big companies. Some who do internships in other companies were offered Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). The highest package offered was around 5 lakhs and the average offered was around 1 lakh. I did get placed in Reliance Jio, however, I wished to study further, therefore I did a few months of work in the company and then dropped to pursue MBA.
