Remarks :

College management must be doing something right to be delivering high standard quality education in the heart of Bandra despite high cost of living and yet retaining a reasonable fee.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Good for Science stream. Good quality education. Exam process is fair and exams are well structured. Attending lectures is sufficient to get a good score. Questions are by the book and teaching. Subject choice is available, depending on the stream you wish to choose.

Placement Experience :

In FYJC (First year junior college) no-one is expecting placement drives, and there weren't any. The goal is to get through FYJC, SYJC and go on for further studies.

College Events :

Intracollege and intercollege festivals are held as well as workshops, student clubs etc. College has its own cultural festival and also has selection trials for participation in intercollege events locally and nationally. Attendance is in the 1000s. Since the campus is a single building, many events are held at halls and community centers externally but close by.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is reasonable and transparent. Text books are expensive, as they tend to be. No capitation fee - admission is based on merit. Receipt is provided for all transactions. College accepts cash, cheque and demand draft; as well as debit and credit card.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scheduled caste and tribes have quota and can apply for scholarships. So can lower economic classes. Loans are relatively easy to acquire for students.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is probably 40-60 (40% female). Labs are good, safe and well-equipped. Competitions are displayed on a notice board. Student body is friendly and somehow everyone knows everyone or gets to. Most students reside locally, are friendly, accepting and open minded. Many cultural societies, dramatics, parties etc.

Hostel Facilities :

No hostel available. Nearby accommodation is expensive as it is in Bandra, but many visiting students opt for shared rental accommodation. Bandra rentals are about INR 20, 000 for a 1 bedroom apartment.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are helpful and friendly. Alumni network is poor. I did not have any interaction with alums.

Admission :

Submit application form with 10th result. Chose for location - great location in Bandra, good quality teaching and friendly atmosphere. Admission by merit list, displayed on board. For admission, submit the application form with relevant certificates of past academic record.

Faculty :

As with any college, some professors were great, some were just ok. Teachers are definitely qualified. Many had relevant industry experience. As with all teachers, they like those who attend and pay attention. The worst professor was probably one who just read straight from the text book and you couldn't understand his accent. But he was still fair in evaluation. What I liked is that you could see your evaluation which makes a huge deal of difference so that you know you are evaluated fairly and can question when you have a difference of opinion.

Placement Experience:

Students from the 7th semester onwards are eligible for campus placements. Core Biomedical companies like GE, Medtronics, biosense etc and IT companies like TCS, JIO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI etc Recruit Biomedical Engineers. Most Biomedical Students prefer Masters over placements. 80 percent of students from selected candidates get placed. I will go for Placements and I will get into post graduation after clearing GATE 2023.

Remarks:

One of the finest college in navi Mumbai. Cooperative teaching staff and faculties. It's placement capital of Mumbai. Most no. If students placed form college. Infrastructure of college is suitable for students. The Faculty of the college is good but the placement is not provided. Canteen and playground facilities are improved now. As college has shifted to Ghansoli the overall infrastructure of college is best. College is best and doesn't worry about jobs. The staff is much more helpful and lectures are best by most of the faculties.

Placement Experience:

This college is placement hub of Mumbai. The placement rate 60 to 65%. Highest paying salary was 6. 5 LPA and average is 2. 5 to 3 LPA. After getting degree I will try gate exam for PSU jobs. 10 companies visited to our college last year. But mainly this was IT companies. If you are electrical student then you can't confidently say that I will get a job, as there is very less electrical based companies visited. Last time torrent power visited to college.

Remarks:

From my point of view, this is best College of India for the commerce and Economics. The professor is too good, they are supportive. They provide all the things which students required to enhance their skill. The best college in town with a balance mix of academics and extra curricular activities. The professor are the most knowledgeable and yet so approchable. This College gift an all rounded personality to its student.

Remarks:

On a bad side our college has to look upon the issue of vehicle parking facility. Due to unavailality or parking area students have to pay hefty fines to police as their vehicle gets Towed upon. Minimum fine a police charges are Rs 436 and due to that students have to face a lot of problems.

I would say that there are many other good colleges in pune for mechanical engineering , as the cut off of this colldge is low so students not willing to compromise on the branch can take admission here without any second thought .
