Remarks :
good faculty and research options with multidisciplinary courses. Foreign languages and student exchange programs for the same. Good reputation and name of the university. Major focus on arts and humanities as well as a push to women entrepreneurs.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum was quite engaging and the schedule usually kept one busy to the wee hours of the morning. The course was well updated with an impeccable faculty. However, little exposure to the outer world was one of the major issues with the curriculum. The competition was very narrow however one could achieve great heights with constant efforts.
Placement Experience :
My course did not have many companies visiting for placements as my course needs a PG degree in order to get placed.
College Events :
Every department had it's own cultural and technical fests which were well attended by all streams. Various clubs were also well established. The ground for holding fest were large and annual fests by the university usually invited over important guests.
Campus Life :
The campus is huge but humble. It is based on the gandhian principles of sustainability. Sports were given quite an important with well constructed gyms and fields. Both indoor and outdoor sports were well equipped. Wifi was available only to few disciplinary courses. The library is Asia's one of the biggest ones in terms of books and scripts. Labs of all sciences is well established.
Hostel Facilities :
4 seater or 3 seater rooms. Well furnished beds and study tables. The food was okay. The hostel has water and electricity facilities with no ac or coolers. There are as many as 40 hostels within the campus which is completely residential for both teachers and students.
