Course Curriculum Overview :
The first year is common for all design courses where we are taught the various skills in art like sketch,illustrations how to handle various materials like wood,plastic,plaster of paris. The fundamentals of design are taught. Second year onwards the specialization for the respective courses start with internship at the end of 3rd year design collection project in final year which ends with a show.
Placement Experience :
The placements start in last semester its the best in Mumbai and Delhi campuses. We had companies like Raymond, Madura Garments,Pantaloons Shopper Stop,Remanika, Sheetal etc come for it. The packages started at 2.5 lacs to 4.5 lacs at that time highest by Raymond.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees is paid for every semester on the expensive side only as NIFT is the best of its kind in Design Colleges in India. Also there is good expenditure to buy course material every semester. For 1 year it costs 5.3 lac and in total for 4 years it costs around 21 lacs, which is too expensive.
Campus Life :
There are a lot of cultural events like college fests like spectrum which happened annually. It gives an opportunity to showcase your skills also interact with students of other colleges and other campuses as well.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are only for first year female students in campus. It was 3 sharing at that time with common bathroom area. The Mess food is decent with good hygiene standards. After first year students move out for PG options or flat sharing plenty available near the campus.
Admission :
After completing my 12th boards I applied for admission here in this college as I had interest to study Fashion Designing. I gave the NIFT Entrance Exam and secured good marks for which my application got selected and I got the admission.
Faculty :
The faculties are all industry experts with in depth knowledge about their subjects which helps us get practical knowledge about various things , also they give individual attention to each student which helps a lot to bring out the unique talent in him.
