Remarks :

MAHE is a very well known University, which provides amazing campus life. My college especially is one of the top ranked dental colleges in the country. The admission procedure is simple and through NEET. I used the website to apply for counseling using my NEET rank and got an email for the same.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is very well planned and the faculty is excellent. All professors are friendly and make sure you learn well. Exams have always been very well planned and spaced out. Easy to pass if you pay attention and study regularly. Faculty to student ratio is good considering there are only 100 students in a batch.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 510000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internship is compulsory 1 year in your own college and it pays a good stipend. You can go for internships in other colleges too.

Placement Experience :

Dental colleges have no scene of placements:) You study well and then go ahead and open a clinic, or go for further studies. There are other options too.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees hike is unlikely. Cost is a little high but can't help. Scholarship can be availed if you have NEET rank below 5,000.

Campus Life :

Campus life is the best here. Sports amenities are amazing with one of the finest gyms and many swimming pools around the campus. Social groups are innumerable, and you can be a part of anything you would like. The libraries are amazing with all books, and journals you could possibly require.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are good but expensive. Cheaper rooms are not livable as they are tiny and congested. Expensive rooms are air conditioned and have everything you might require. Meals are not good as it is all South Indian food but you have the choice of just eating out.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspects of the curriculum that mainly influenced my decision to choose this course are the equal ratio of theoretical as well as practical training, and we get early clinical exposure when compared with other medical degrees. Through clinical rotations in various departments, students gain experience in diagnosing, scaling procedures, extractions, and restorations. But advanced procedures like lasers, implants, clear aligners, etc are out of the reach of the students. Another good thing is the enhancement of soft skills like communication, patient management, and ethical practise, these are very important for maintaining patient trust. Areas of improvement are management should incorporate more advanced digital dentistry tools and technologies in the curriculum. This could prepare the students for constantly evolving dentistry. The college conducts 3 internal theoretical as well as practical exams before the main University exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus has included compulsory clinical practicals from 3rd year. The OP flow and vast exposure you'll get to have in Oral surgery, conservative dentistry, Prosthodontics, and Oral medicine make AB Shetty one of the most sought-after dental college in india. Teachers are very guiding in clinical, which is what prepares you to be a doctor with apt and profound clinical knowledge and a sense of diagnosis. College is conducting terminal sessions of exams followed by university examinations by the end of the academic year.
