Course Curriculum Overview :

It is a three year post graduation program. The course gives us basic insights into the application of chemistry to the biological processes that may happen at a cellular & molecular level. The subjects that we are studying under this are Medical Biochemistry , Physical chemistry & cell biophysics , Bio statics , Metabolism & Genetics and recently advances in biochemistry and biotechnology. This course also includes training in basic procedures related to biochemistry which are required to be practiced in the society and at all the levels of heath care system.

Placement Experience :

The placements of our college are quite good . Top private educational intuitions took a pool of candidates from my batch for the role of heath teacher , Biochemistry analyst , Research analyst and many more. I don't know exactly if the college offers summer internships or not.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The tuition fees is around 10000 for both the semesters. Thus the grand total comes down to 20,000 for 1 year which I consider is quite feasible seeing the facilities that are provided by the institution. This fees structure does not include the hostel&mess charges. You need to deposit a non refundable registration and security fees.

Campus Life :

Many kinds of cultural events like holi , diwali , bihu , janamashtmi are organised by the student club. The labs of the college is completely digitized . Sports tournaments like football , basketball , table tennis , badminton are also held at our college after the first semester gets over which helps the students to come together as a family and narrow their regional and cultural differences.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is situated near the main building of our institute. The hostel is a three story building which has 30 rooms. Each floor has 10 rooms for boys and girls. The rooms are fully furnished and we are also provided with a common room for visitors, watching tv and reading .There is also a well maintained mess with dining room & a modernized kitchen. The food is also quite good. We have a main auditorium (300) seats and a seminar hall (100) seats for various cultural events and conferences. We also have a lecture hall for seminars , training and teaching.

Admission :

The basic criteria for admission in this college is that you need to have passed final year exams of MBBS from Delhi University. You also need to have completed a one year rotational internship which you might need to submit at the time of counselling session. Now for admission you need to secure 50% in NEET examination. The cut off m,arks for SC/ST/OBC is set at 40%.If you secure the said percentage , you would be called for documentation process and a counselling session and later granted admission.

Faculty :

The teachers of this institute are very knowledgeable . They clear our doubts related to all the kind of human diseases and medical chemistry. We are given assignments on a weekly basis in order to ensure that we are understanding the subject better. Overall all the teachers of my department are really helpful and supportive.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements during the final semester of M.Sc Electronics. Companies that visit Jamia are Airtel, TCS, Hitachi, Wipro, AT&T, and Samsung. All students were 100% placed in these big companies. Some who do internships in other companies were offered Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). The highest package offered was around 5 lakhs and the average offered was around 1 lakh. I did get placed in Reliance Jio, however, I wished to study further, therefore I did a few months of work in the company and then dropped to pursue MBA.
