Course Curriculum Overview :
The Graduate Diamonds course covered almost everything about the diamonds, right from how it is mined, processed, about the laboratory-grown diamonds and so on. I also learned about the laboratory-grown diamonds in detail along with the diamond grading procedures. The assessment included identifying the clarity, color, carat weight and the cut of the finest diamonds.
Placement Experience :
The Gemological Institute of America conduct's the Placement Camps on their campus. Every year they invite a large group of big companies in the industry. This helped me to get into one of the biggest companies in the field of our country. The camp made me understand the future requirements of the jobs in the field.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
I paid overall the net amount Rs. 3,07,300/- for my course Graduate Diamonds. I found the payment structure was feasible as I was required to pay an initial amount Rs. 20,000/- along with the application. I paid the rest of the fee just fifteen days before the commencement of the course.
Campus Life :
Lab is the most essential part of this course. As I needed to learn every aspect of the diamond right from the cut, clarity, color, carat weight of various unique diamonds, modern and efficient equipment are needed for the testing. GIA laboratory served the purpose right to learn the laboratory grown diamonds.
Admission :
I always have a great passion for glittery things. This curiosity and passion for jewellery took me to the extent to pursue my career on the same. I searched online to enroll in the best college to pursue my career. I found the Gemological Institute of America as the better option in India for the gemological studies. I applied for the course Graduate Diamonds. I was required to complete the minimum criteria, that is to pass at least the twelfth grade and have sufficient English knowledge.
Faculty :
The faculty of the college were fully expertised in the field of gemology. This helped me a lot to learn the practical skills and the real life time assessment on diamonds. The educators shared their real life experiences with us to make us understand the practical skills required to determine the quality of the diamonds.
