Course Curriculum Overview :
The course aims to nurture professionalism apart from bookish education. It focuses on improving the student? practical knowledge. It includes study in the areas of Aerodynamics, Structures, Propulsion, Aircraft Performance, Stability and Control, Avionics, Flight Vehicle Design; Aircraft Systems & Flight testing. The students get hands-on experience through lab experiments in addition to the other engineering disciplines.
Placement Experience :
The college has a very well established placement centre. They focus on bringing more and more companies like NAL, HAL, ISRO, QUEST global, TECH MAHINDRA to the college and getting students placed in them through campus recruitments.
College Events :
Every department organises various events in the college. Quiz Programmes, Debates Annual Sports Meet, Annual Day, Graduation Day and Hostel Day are the major functions in the campus in the Academic calendar. Library and Internet facilities are provided on all working days.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees structure is feasible. The fee for one year is Rs.50000.The fee for the whole course is Rs. 200000. This fee is not inclusive of transportation fee, department fund and hostel fee. This, however, includes the lab fee.
Campus Life :
The college organises all sorts of extracurricular activities. The students regularly participate in all sports competitions Every year the college host ?EC Annual Sports Meet?which is a culmination of a month-long, intensive preparation of athletic displays and various other sports events. The sports complex is very well made for volleyball, basketball, and Throw ball courts. The Department has 3 labs with modern and Hi-tech equipments for the students.
Hostel Facilities :
There are two separate hostel buildings, one for the girls and the other for the boys. The hostel provides all the students a safe and comfortable environment and is a Zero ragging and a No Smoking Zone. The Hostel is managed by the Hostel Committee which is constituted by the resident faculties of the college and the Warden in consultation with the college management.
Admission :
I am studying Aeronautical engineering from Apollo Engineering college. The minimum score of 60% to 70 % at 10+2 or equivalent level with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects of study is required to be eligible for this course. The admission is given on the basis of TNEA counselling which is conducted by the Anna University. I chose this course as it is different and very unique
Faculty :
The faculty of the college is good. They focus on professional qualities as well, besides the book education. The lectures are interactive and engaging. They often come up with innovative teaching techniques.
