Remarks :
My experience in the college was really one of a kind. Even though, with average infrastructure, the teachers and co students made the campus life worth remembering. Never thought my 3 years at this college would be over so early.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course structure was well defined. It covered all the important aspects of commerce, the likes of which included taxation, auditing, tally, stock markets, financial management etc. The course was more of conceptual, which made it easy to understand and apply in the regular world. The regular conduct of class exams by the professors made sure that every student is through with all the in and outs of the subjects. Also the end semester exams were designed it such a way that made the students actually use their brains rather than just mugging up the concepts.
Placement Experience :
Yes, my college has an active placement cell, which works diligently to provide students with the best of placement opportunities. Major recruiters in our college have been ICICI Bank, Wipro, Dell, Igate etc. BPO is the most common profile offered in the college, followed by Tax and audit for my course.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure was quite feasible. It was about Rs 24,000 for a year, to be paid at the starting of the academic session. Tuition fee, admission fee and infrastructural development cost were major components of the fee structure. However, the cost of study material and hostel is not included in this fee.
Campus Life :
The college life of a student majorly depends upon the extra curricular activities provided by the college and I am lucky enough to be in KRMMC as it provides you with ample of such opportunities. The various student associations and their events make the campus life much fun. Also, our college have always aced at sports, with national level tournaments being held regularly. The majority of students being from the south of India and a similar family background, I haven't seen any kind of discrimination with regards to race, religion or society status.
Alumni/Alumna :
The seniors make your life so easy in this college. It never felt like there was any difference between the seniors and juniors. From the admission process to society events to academics, the seniors always had the back of their juniors. Also, the career alumni mentor program helped us gain insightful info about how the life becomes after college.
Admission :
The admission was on merit basis(my 10+2 grades), followed by a personal interview with the principal. After my application got shortlisted online, I was allotted a date when I was supposed to visit the campus for my interview. The interview was very friendly in which our principal asked me about my basic knowledge with regard to business studies and accounts. I got selected for the course and my 3 years of exciting journey started.
Faculty :
The best thing about my college is the faculty. To be honest, it never felt like a student teacher relation, it was always like an extremely qualified friend is teaching us. All the teachers in my department were so supportive, like you can approach them anytime with any query and you'll have a solution.
