Remarks :
There are many pros and cons in it but I like the way it is if every remark were good we never had anything to learn all by ourselves. So, mostly I would rate it 7 over 10 and its a good experience to be here at IPE and be a student as this would be my last stage to face (enjoy) by student life.
Entrance Preview :
I took up the MAT examination and scored around 80 percentile and got over here to continue my PhD and I felt that these 2 years of campus life were perfect to explore a new era with newer aspects of the societal and other economy based subjects which I felt were not my cup of tea and definitely the case studies and other managerial stuff helped me to understand the present India's global scenario with an affirmation it's really worth growing up with our age old well versed pedagogy.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum would be replenished quite often to stay updated with the present ongoing issues which would be discussed in the premises. They won't end up with an answer but would inculcate a thought process which would help us built many more solutions for the similar kinda problems. This would do as that's the way you help out people to built analytical thinking with in them gradually (1 by 1) to be able to face the future's most adverse situations at an ease.
Internships Opportunities :
They did provide with an internship, indeed they did add it into our curriculum to make it more effective. Many renowned to start up approached our campus and took up many of my colleagues including me. Well I did my internship at a bank (SBH), one of the oldest banks of its lot. Many others got it in Deloitte, CBRE, Andhra Bank, Canara Bank, Amul and many other start up like moswap and also into other ecommerce platforms. The highest stipend was around 18,000/- and I didn't get any but got ample of experience on "how does a bank operate?" and well I am happy about it.
Placement Experience :
Placement and job opportunities vary according to their specialization and the market requirement. Yes, they are ample for marketing students, but comparatively less for others. As it is research oriented institute we cannot express many opportunities here. But their are ample for people who wanted get placed. Delloite, TCS, CBRE, ICICI, Standard Chatered, Mahindra Finance, Axis, Kotak Mahindra, IndusInd etc came to the campus and I genuinely feel that even though the profiles aren't great around 5.3-8 lakh packages came to the campus.
College Events :
Yeah, we have loads of events that we do celebrate. Freshers, Ethnic day, Sanskrithi are some of the cultural kinda fests and yes Samhithis, Entrepreneural ideas based (Ankur) are few more technical or managerial fests to be named with, Its worth to organize a few even though the college don't get any sponsors we get it and so we enjoy it to the core from bringing investments through sponsors to organizing a national event. And also to promote a fest as big as it requires a lots of ideologies and marketable strategies which is another way to boost our skills.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It's apt for the infrastructure and provisions (amenities) that they provide us with. It's feasible, it could have been a bit low but I guess as the expenses for the new campus (they built) aren't met with so hike in fees is the obvious phenomenon to raise their funds apart from the research work which isn't sufficient. At present our fee structure is about 8 lakhs (per annum) with 1 lakh for hostel amenities (residential stay if you opt for), which is less compared to other b-schools which charge around 15 lakhs per two years.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes, only those people who excel in their academics and are the most punctual (no bunks) can opt for the scholarship but its not a huge amount may be 50k to 1 lakh will be deducted from the present amount. No specific loan facilities are offered to the students through college.
Campus Life :
Campus life is awesome but is far off from hyderabad city which is the nearest city. I guess the idea to shift the campus was good as well as bad decision, but as they took it, they need to manage (market) it properly and definitely improve our placement options. We prefer now to be in a most green and peaceful environment which is good for students but not for management based PG (bschools) as we would recommend more competitive environment. Gender ratio is upto the mark i.e. 40:60 girls and boys respectively. Diversified students from different states come over here to opt for this. We have sports based competitions and yes we are encouraged to play many games with other similar b-schools.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are quite good but mess food isn't that great initially we faced a bit off quality (standards) (expectations). But later they improved and now its much better. They don't cover most of the nutritious content and they don't even go for many delicacies ( deserts). I would suggest that they should take into consideration students mindset or dietitian's recommendations before they cook.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni networks and our seniors try to help us in every possible way from dealing with situations to the job that we wanna crack. They stay in contact and we call them on a particular day (Alumni day/ week) where they share their experiences and the kinda work they are upto, are they enjoying it and all about the work environment culture.
Exam Structure :
Not really hectic as we were to deal with semester system, but our juniors might complain about the hectic trimester which wasn't very easy to handle with. We are lucky enough as we were not asked to write two examinations a day although our seniors had to. So exams and other curriculum weren't a next to impossible task. Yup we aren't quite worried about schedule but about the evaluation pattern. I feel sometimes they aren't quite fair (especially in our assignment evaluation) but it's okay.
Faculty :
The pedagogy is quite qualified and experienced at well versed traditional lectures as well as the ongoing cloud campus based learning. They come up with the ongoing burning issues to relate the theoretical lessons with practicality of concepts and definitely encourage a few power points from the candidates with few updated facts to built in and bring in the best of our abilities i.e. not just by sharing the well known facts but also on the way it was been shared to, with few presentation skills and lot many to be applied on.
