The college management is very good and they focus on students needs.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is designed with very systematically with four semesters, each comprising 7 papers where three theory and one practical are compulsory and other three are optional. Students are promoted to indulge in research and two make practical use of the theory the study.
Placement Experience :
They don’t provide internships. But they asked students to do internship from outside for at least a month in any of the four semesters.
College Events :
1- orientation 2- freshers day 3- fair well 4- teachers day 5- Gandhi Jayanti 6- Republic Day 7- Independence Day 8- mental health day All these events are celebrated every year with maximum participation. Students and teachers put theirs full effort to make these events successful.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Since this is a government university, the fee is very minimal and there is provision of scholarship for economically weaker students. The fee is taken annually which is around ?5000 to ?6000. There is also a scheme of self finance study which is for students with lower percentile and their fee is around ?15000.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No I hadn’t opted for any scholarship because my father is in a government job and also a tax payer so I can’t opted for any scholarship.
Campus Life :
Students from across the nation as well as from foreign countries also applied for admission. In my course there are more female by male students. The ratio is 5:1. Various extracurricular activities like sports, debates, poster making etc are organised time to time for the students.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes. And room is shared by two students. And fee for hostel room is ?13000 per year. Hostel seats are limited so admission of students go through with merit list. And the priorities given to long distancing students.
Alumni/Alumna :
There is no alumni section in the college. However few of the alumni are pursuing other courses in the college and they provide guidance in case of need.
Admission :
I applied for the entrance test and qualified it. My name got into the merit list and I got admission in M. Sc. Psychology. I chose this college because it is the best government university in the area and the staff is highly qualified and experienced. I got admission in the month of July, 2017.
Faculty :
The faculties are selected after screening of their experience, qualification and teaching skills. They are called for interview where questions created to the subject are asked and a demo is asked to be shown. Presently there are 9 associate professors and 2 Assistant Professors in my course. They all are masters in psychology and have completed their PhD and are highly experienced.
