Remarks :
I overall enjoyed my college. Although it lagged in some aspects and needed a bit improvement but i am very hopeful about its future. I met some of my darling friends here whom I am going to cherish throughout my life.
Entrance Preview :
I had given JEE mains and qualified for JEE advance. I had scored 125 marks in jee mains but couldn't qualify in jee advance. I had also appeared for BITSAT and scored 339. but i couldn't get admission over there. I also gave entrance exam of science college and qualified in that so took that course.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had chemistry as my hons. subject. while maths and physics were my subsidiary papers. apart from that i had 50-50 marks of english and hindi paper.I had to study about physical, organic and inorganic chemistry. the syllabus of 1st year was similar to that of 12th class. but after 1st year things were a little advanced. I had to study organic chemistry and enjoyed it.
Internships Opportunities :
IN my college no internship was offered. But i was fortunate enough to get one on my own. I got Summer research fellowship from indian academy of sciences. I got 2 months internship in CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, Gujarat under S. Adimurthy sir. I was working on the topic Green chemistry. I got Rs 8000 /- per month as stipend.
Placement Experience :
As far as placements and job opportunities are concerned, OUr college lags very behind in it. IN our college only vipro company comes for placement and they also offer very average kind of placement. Apart from that no good companies come here.
College Events :
Our college is also not so ahead in extra curricular activities. We don't have any annual cultural fest. But every year, Our college organises annual sports day. Our chemical society organises essay writing, model making, photography contest each year under the banner UTKARSH. A few extracurricular activities take place Throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is very feasible. Its the key feature of this institution. I completed my graduation ( a 3 year course ) only in 10, 000 rs. I had to give about 3500 or less per year including every charges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships are offered to those students who belong to schedule caste. otherwise they are not offered. I don't know about any other good scholarship /loan facility as i never needed it.
Campus Life :
The overall campus life was good. I enjoyed it. We had freedom and we enjoyed it. A good canteen is missing. NO restrictions on dress code or mobile phones. Extracurricular activities were satisfactory. The problem of a bit violence in boys hostel was common. No ragging problem was experienced. Seniors were not dominating and were like a friend.
Hostel Facilities :
Girls hostel facility is good. WE had two students per room. Room was good and we were provided with the basic facility.Also, Room rent was quite feasible. Mess food also was good but it lacked variety. We had simple Bihari food.
Alumni/Alumna :
WE had good interaction with our senior. They never ragged us and helped us wherever we needed them. They shared with us their notes and previous experience. WE are still in their touch through social networking sites like facebook.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure is very simple. WE have only one annual exams throughout the year. ONe cent -up exam before the main exam and that's it. Exam paper consists of 10 questions out of which 5 are to be answered. WE although have a lab but lab facility is not that good. We didn't have very hectic schedule.
Faculty :
Faculty of my hons. subject range from satisfactory to excellent. There were some faculty who had deep insight of their subject while there were many who used to teach us with their notes only. But overall teaching faculty were good. But subsidiary paper was just satisfactory.
