Course Curriculum Overview :

Pharm D is a 6 year course where we will be exposed more to hospitals than pharmaceutical companies. A student have to under go clerkship (5th year) and internship(6th year). Based on the interest of the student he/she can undergo industrial training.

Class Size : 30Course Fees : INR 164700 per year

Placement Experience :

Placement is merit based (12th percentage and mcq entrance test). Internship in 6th year -2months-in Coimbatore private hospital 2months in private hospital (hometown) 8 months -in college hospital.

College Events :

Onam, pongal and ugadi elebration Pharmacy week(3-4days ) Hostel day-august Freshers day-august Alumni meet-march College day-to-day every march, Sports day-4 houses. All the events will be coordinated by 3rd years. The students will be divided. To different committees.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. supposed to pay both hostel and first year fees at the time of admission. Any leave taken from hostel to be filled in a form and submitted to the hostel Warden so that at the end of each year mess reduction will be provided. Internship students will be given as 5000 as per pci rules.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

We have to submit request letter along with filled details regarding us. The letter to be submitted to college office session where the person appointed to handle the same deals with it and give us all certificates required in time.

Campus Life :

Being in Ooty it's very awesome climate. College organizes sports day every March. There are student from all states of India as well as international students, where we live like a family with no race/gender/sex discrimination. Various outreach programs are organised by various departments. Seminars, webimars and workshops will be organised almost every month by various departments.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes-its a room where at least 4 can be accumulated Food - vegetarian Drinking water -24hrs hot water Heater(hot water) bailable for taking bath Hostel mess-can accumulate more than 50 people at a time.

Hostel Fee : INR 75000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Motivates juniors. Help us find what's best. Help us for placements by referring us to the company.

Admission :

Contacted the college admission cell. I got information regarding the various courses and fee structure. Based on the same I opted pharmacy D. And entrance exam (mcq) was organized and the list of selected students where put based on the entrance exam marks and 12th exam per.

Faculty :

Excellent and helpful. Help us to cope up with the current scenario by engaging us in various activities and to help us complete our course without any delay By keeping case presentations, once, seminars etc. The interns where asked to help juniors understand the case presentation format so that it will help them improving. Any doubts will be clarified then and there. There is no partiality for teachers.

Placement Experience:

Last year students are eligible for the campus placements. There are so many companies visited our college like Wibro. There are more offers are available. The highest rate is about 400000 and the average package is about 100000. About 80 percent of students got placement every year. My plan is to go abroad for a job.

Entrance Preview:

I had took VEE that is vels entrance examination which is conducted by vels university during every year to admit students to various course. I had choose to study pharm D- Doctor of pharmacy. I got admitted through entrance exam and the admission process is very simple. Had visited the University with the offer letter received at my address and other relevant documents for admission.

Placement Experience:

As Pharm D is a new course in india the job opportunities are not well defined so far. The placements are done by the University last year and some of our senior students got placed. And looking over all to various course available in the University it provides a big opportunity to its students, and many companies are visiting the University .

Entrance Preview:

I wrote aipmt entrance and jipmer entrance. But I didn't got admission because of my mark is not up to the level of good rank. So I taken this course equalent to MBBS degree. We are pharmacist too. So we have an intermediate between Dr and pharmacist. I like this profession. So I choose this course and this college.
