College

Remarks :

Our college is now a autonomous college. I would suggest for more focus on internships and exposure towards technology.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I enrolled myself into Electronics Engineering. 1st in the University is common for all streams. From 2nd year onwards we had semester patter. In our branch each semester has 5 theory subject and 3 practicals. We were following an old syllabus and also the pattern of our question paper remained same. The most challenging part was for those who have to re-attempt the previous year or semester's exam along with the current semester as the exams falls on consecutive days, which never got changed. Obviously we were made to face such challenges where in life or work ( corporate culture) every one needs to deliver on a daily basis irrespective of any situation. This later taught us how to start slow and contribute a little everyday to achieve your goal.

Placement Experience :

Very fees students got placed in 2012. As our college was new, many students chose to go for further certifications to get placed in IT companies.

College Events :

IEEE Paper presentation Annual cultural festival Robotics Under IEEE forum, we used to organize many other events. There are many people who used to loved to be part of technical events and a segment of students which loved to be part of cultural festival. It used to be organize in January because we have enough time for our next semester exams

Fee Structure And Facilities :

I have paid 48000 per year. All modes were opened in between 2008 and 2012. Cash, DD, Cheque. I am sure, now they are accepting digital payments as well. Also good thing about college was providing installments on paying the fees as per requirement. They also used to provide scholarship given by government for weaker economic sections.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I did not opted for any scholarship. Also only students who comes under weaker economic section. Scholarship was provided every year.

Campus Life :

Our college was a new built college and we were the first batch who graduated in 2012. It was an amazing campus, the college building looks like a resort. Quite far from the city which make it more special. Greenery all around, a huge workshop connected to the cafeteria which used to be the auditorium for annual festivals.

Hostel Facilities :

I was a day scholar, so did not opted for hostel. In 2008-2012 hostel rent would cost in between 5000-6000 including meals. Also, few students opted for 1-2 bhk flats where the rent was around 4000-5000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna :

We get notifications from college staff to promote the college, recommend it and also if placements drive can be organised for final year students.

Admission :

I have got the admission on the basis on my CET score. Post which the allotment gets started throught the CAP rounds where you have to select 20 colleges in first round if you get the college which was listed in first 10 then it is mandatory to enroll in the college. I have got the admission in the third round where I have fill 45 colleges ( including the branch/stream). As my scores were low, I did not have any other choice to go for a different college. Once you see the name in the CAP list, you get a window of 10 days to pay the fees and get enrolled. I submitted the fees in July 2008 and 22nd August 2008 the curriculum started. We had to visit the administrative department of our college, show the list and pay the required fees.

Faculty :

4 lecturers in each faculty. Most of them were having or pursuing M. Tech. Aged between 28-40 Most of them were having atleast 4-5 years of experience prior to our college. Also they were having exposure to many paper presentations which adds on in improving their teaching methods.

Placement Experience:

We have wonderful placement opportunists. We had an excellent placement officer for the coordination of placement activities. A lot of companies come and recruit students across all sectors. Pre-placement training is conducted which are helpful. Companies visited-Ace Micromatic, ESDS Software Solution Pvt. Ltd., Epam, ValueLabs, sender, Hexaware Technologies, SABA, Syntel, TCS, Amazon etc. My plans after degree- if I get the good package at the time of placement then I will go with the job. If I don't get a good package then I will do MS outside India.

College is quite nice but it should have been bigger than present. The college ground os quite small and have only basket ball and table tennis court but there should be one big ground where students can jog and play cricket, football etc.

College management should help students in participating events like BAJA, supra, Firodiya etc more than they do now. Students are interested in things to do but lack of college management interest and support to them. Support students they will bring college further up.
