Remarks :

College management is definitely not the strong suite for this institution, and I would not advertise it if I am recommending this college to anyone. But, other than that it is worthwhile to spend the four best student years of one's life.

Entrance Preview :

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). It has no interview process. Only a counseling session based on rank, and on spot admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Comprised of core electronics subjects, some maths and lots of electives focusing on CS, Instrumentation and electronics. Microprocessors and Microcontrollers were most interesting. Digital Signal Processing, Discrete Mathematics were among the mosre tough ones.

Internships Opportunities :

There are no internships offer from any companies for this college. And so there is no stipend offered either. But, some students who had good scores in their higher secondary have a small scholarship entitled to them.

Placement Experience :

Primarily, Tata Consultancy Services is a mass recruiter for this college. Others like IBM, Accenture, and recently Delloite is also holding campus placements from this college.

College Events :

The college has two main fests, Anakronos, which is the cultural fest and EDGE, the tech fest. Numerous participants from all over West Bengal come and attend these.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fees are marginally expensive as compared to other government institutes like Bengal University or Jadavpur University, but not as expensive as engineering colleges of other states.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No scholarship or loan facilities are available from this college. Only one scholarship is available which is borne by the state board which is 10% of the total fees.

Campus Life :

Campus life is excellent. There are numerous common rooms with lots of indoor games like carrom, table tennis, etc. There are no gender bias or racial abuse. Ragging is not tolerated in this college,.

Hostel Facilities :

This college has no hostel facility. I being from the same city, used to travel to college everyday.

External Expense : Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is not so well established. Mainly all communications with seniors and pass outs happen over social networking platforms. Seniors are mostly helpful in providing valuable guidance.

Exam Structure :

Exams are semester based primarily. So there are in all 8 semester examinations. In each semester there are also two internal exams which have a weightage of 30% of the overall marks in a subject.

Faculty :

Faculty was mostly new but excellent. They were mostly close to students and thought process works in the same frequency. They were really helpful during organizing fests and pre examination preparation.

Hardship ends someday after Placements.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement after the 6th semester onwards.A total of 98 companies visited our college out of which they offered 120 offers and 86 students applied for placements out of which 78 are selected in the CSE branch. The selection was 90 percent. Average pay was 4-5LPA and the highest was 25LPA CTC in India. After getting my degree i planned for higher studies and placement in a MNC.

The best department

Remarks:

Nothing is perfect in the whole universe. There were loopholes in the college administration and there were a few, not-so-good guys, who did mistreat with students but thanks to the higher authorities, those were never a permanent issue.
