Remarks :
Mainly they should improve on the placement part. Since fees is above average, students and their parents expect at least to pass college with a job offer in hand.
Course Curriculum Overview :
They conduct Three internal tests - minor 1, minor 2 and PUT (Pre University Test) to prepare you fully for the Main exams. Marks of Minor 1&2 are taken into consideration for the internal assessment. PUT marks are considered if you miss on minor tests. 75 % attendance criteria also holds.
Placement Experience :
I was lucky to be able to get In - campus placement in TCS. Mainly TCS is the best organization that visits the college.
College Events :
There is Gyan Jyoti, GJ which is 2-3 days annual fest. Some popular singers also visit during this time. In my time, popular singer Gajendra Verma visited the college and Also veteran actress Hema Malini. Events focus on all round development of the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees is around 4-5 lakhs for a full 4 year BTech. Course. Slightly higher than Government colleges. Plus I was a day scholar, so I also had to pay the transport fees, which was appreciated every year. It came up to almost 20-25 k for a year. Hostel fees is based on type of room, single sharing room with food and snacks is 72k year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Did not avail loan. But there is loan facility available and they also offer discounts to AIEEE rankers.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio iN CS branch was more girls and less boys. And reverse for Mechanical and Civil branches. EC branch was almost equal ratio of boys to girls. Campus life was fine. Strictness was there for attendance, marks and bunking was monitored. Projects also were expected to be of a good level.
Hostel Facilities :
No. Hostel fees is based on type of room, single sharing room with food and snacks is 72k year. There is change in room every year based on chit system. Food was not very praised.by hostel people. However, they tried to improve.
Alumni/Alumna :
They were friendly, initial introduction was done to build rapport with seniors. Mostly crowd is of Agra and around UP. So if you are of the same region or school you can probably build good rapport.
Admission :
I got into the college based on interview and Merit, my marks in 10th, 12th were considered, since I was a topper in school, I was selected based on merit and even got a discount. On getting a good rank in AIEEE, they offered scholarship too. This was around July 2011, classes begin from August.
Faculty :
Faculty is very good at HCST. Teachers are well equipped with knowledge and study material for their specific subjects. Every teacher has their style of teaching, but if you take notes properly and do your self study you can score well in the university exams.they also have PDP classes which have some of the best counselor for grooming students as professionals and imparting business skills.
