Remarks :
I liked the college pretty much either academics or cultural events, being an MCA student am a senior for UG courses and lead/volunteer most of the events held at college which provides me with a chance to increase and improve my leadership, managerial and communicational skills. The teachers are also quite good. Many students do ask me why I choose the same college for PG, and it is because the college is one of the best in the city and nearby.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college offers MCA Lateral under AKTU and IIMT University, both follow different syllabuses. The syllabus for AKTU is quite similar to B.tech 3rd and 4th year, the. There are few qualifying exams in the second year. The final year has no subjects and contains only a project and industrial training, so almost all my seniors are placed in their final semesters.
Placement Experience :
The college claims to provide 100% placement and is also true to that fact, as most of the students who tried and gave interviews are each placed in at least 2-4 companies, rest unplaced students were who gave up and didn't try. The highest package offered was 12lakh per annum by Zaro and the average package was 2.8lakh per annum by most of the companies.
College Events :
Star Night, Youth Fest, Founder's Day and Alumni Night were the biggest events held every year at the campus. A technical fest is also being organised since this year, by students themselves. The teachers promote students to lead and manage most of the events at the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee for the first year of my MCA was around Rs. 1,05,000, to be paid in instalments as convenient. But for the second year, the fee is Rs. 95,000 but the fee is to be submitted within the deadline else a fine of Rs. 50/day is charged to students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I availed the State Scholarship via online mode. Firstly I filled the scholarship formed and submitted a copy of it with required documents at college and after successful verification I got the scholarship into the mentioned bank account.
Campus Life :
A youth fest is organised yearly for students, regular workshops and guest lectures are also held at the colleges on the campus. Recently, the college signed an MoU with IIT Kanpur and many educational institutions to strengthen its education quality. The college has 2 libraries, both are quite good and have a proper seating area for reading and there is never a shortage of books. The computer labs are also quite good. The college also has an Ion zone, so most of the government examinations are also conducted here.
Hostel Facilities :
The college rooms are quite good with attached bathroom and a Balcony. The food served in the college mess is quite tasty. There are two hostels for both girls and boys. Girls hostel has more strict rules than the boys' hostel. The hostels also have gym and water cooler facilities. The college canteen stays open mostly apart classes for hostlers. The college also has a temple and a hospital.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni network of the college is quite good, many of them are abroad, entrepreneurs, working in top MNCs like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture. The faculties are quite helpful and regularly visit the campus to guide and mentor students in their growth.
Admission :
I got admission here via direct mode. I knew the teachers as I did my BCA from here as well. The admission process was just simple, I had to fill the admission form with an amount of Rs. 1000 as admission fee and got the prospectus. The college offers MCA Lateral from AKTU and IIMT University, I took admission in AKTU offered MCA.
Faculty :
The faculties are all PhD holders and have vast experience of work history at notable firms and organisations. All faculties are quite friendly and motivating, and always ready in rectifying the doubts related studies. We had 6 lectures daily with a lunch break after 4th lecture. The studies in MCA are quite hectic.
