Shawn Simon Dsouza's Review On SDM College Of Business Management -[SDMCBM] Kodialbail, Mangalore

Remarks :

This college has a great opportunity to showcase your talents. They not only teach us but guide us on how to face the real world. As many of my senior friends studied there. They recommended studying at that college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

MBA course is really fun to learn where practical things also should be applied. The course is well updated and also industrial exposure was provided. The faculties are really kind, helpful and generous. One of my favourite lecturers is MR. DAWN PRAKASH sir.

Internships Opportunities :

No, I have not opted for any internships.

Placement Experience :

The companies like TATA, RELIANCE, HCL, BYJUS, HP visited our campus very many of the students got placed. The placement process starts with an entrance test then a GD and then the PI. there are many startups from our college giving solutions to the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY departments.

College Events :

The campus life in SDM is really good. There are a lot of cultural as well as managing events conducted by our college. Coming to cultural the college conducts Dhandiya night, college day, Gandhi Jayanthi etc and Management Fests like finance competition, marketing and human resource competition is held which is known as Shrestha.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have availed for the scholarship offered by the GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA. for minorities the name of the scholarship is SSP portal. The loans are also provided for the students by the government that is Arivu loan for students.

Campus Life :

The campus infrastructure is full of recent technology like wifi, projectors etc. With air-conditioned classrooms. The size of the library is huge where you get all variety of books to read and there is no lab for MBA section.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I stay in PG. It is easily available in Mangalore near to the college. In a room, 2 people stay the average rent is 4500/- per month. The hostel rooms are clean and tidy. One main drawback is the PGs and hostels get filled very fast.

Placement Experience:

I did MBA from Alliance University and it is a 2 year program so from 2nd year companies started to come. many reputed organizations like Oracle, TCS, HCL, Delloite, PwC, Croma, Xiaomi, Aditya Birla, Panasonic, Schneider etc came for recruitment. Highest package was 21.6 LPA by Kaseya Ltd. and average package was somewhere around 8. More than 95% students got placement in my batch. I have plans to open my own restaurant very soon.

Placement Experience:

With the help of the Campus Corporate Program (CCP), we were able to benefit from an amazing placement experience. To help us get fully prepared, our institute also invited a professional trainer who conducted various Skill Development programs for the acquisition of the openings that arise in various corporate organizations from time to time. As for the placement drive, some of the top companies that participated were EY, JP Morgan, Neilsen, Infosys, the United Nations, and others.
