The first college, to get the special heritage award and it crossed nearly 175th year of the potential excellence. The college was credited by the NAAC committee with A++ grade. The college produced so many illustratious alumnus and they gave so many IAS, IPS officers, and Scientists. Our famous Scientists is Mayilsamy Annadurai.

In my college, has a lot of life learning, self motivated curriculum has given for the students. The course curriculum is developed by the professor and the suggestions was taken by the students. There are so many extra curricular activities, shepherd visit, NCC, NSS, ARMY, and other activities are done by the students. There are many companies has offered a variety of job opportunities for individuals who are looking for a job. Also there are nerly 400 present researchers are doing their research. All the department professors are the doctoral degree holders with NET /SET qualified staff.

Most of the research Scholars was selected for the stipend, which was given by the management, and alumnus professors. And also the first college, DST - FIST, DST - SERB sponsored college

College offering many scholarships for the students and and stipend for the research Scholars. The college management offers the scholarship for the hostel students alo. The announcement is given by the college website also announced by the principal regarding the scholarship program and application are available in the college website. The application for the scholarship is the online mode. The scholarship selection criteria was fully dependent on the academic performance and the family background.
Campus Life :
In the UG level, there is only offers the boys students. But in PG level, both 1:1 ratio for boys and girls also. In MPhil and PhD courses, depending on the staff, they were admitted for the research program. College has eminent cultural team and they won many prizes awards for the college. The cultural team always encourages the students to develop their own interests and talents.
Hostel Facilities :
I'm a hostel student. Hostel accommodation is given for the long distance students. The room is very large and cleaned. Bathrooms were Cleaned morning and evening. Each room there are 4 students sharing. Each student has a separate cot, table, chair and shelf space for putting their luggages. Dining table is well cleaned and maintained by the cooking staff. The food was awesome and it gives a home made items. There is a garden and yield the healthey vegetables and fruits. Totally the clean and healthey ventilation for all the rooms.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yeah, there is a direct relationship between the alumni and the present students. They always encourages the students to develop their skills, knowledge and also they guide to their career development goals.
Admission :
I'm a Physics graduate student. I selected this college because of the illustrious alumnus of the proud institution. For example, our former president of India, Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam was the historical alumnus of my proud institution. So that I chose my MPhil program in my college. 1st step to enter this college is to apply through online mode. The candidates were selected according to the mark scored in 12th exam, as well as the performance of the entrance exam for post graduate.
Faculty :
The professors are the doctoral degree holders with their relevant subjects with full of knowledge and experience. There is an hands on training was given by the professor to understand the subject. Laboratory research is a perfect chance to improve our quality and effectiveness of the research.
