Course Curriculum Overview :

Clinical training is giving from day 1 of the course, curriculum runs on semester basis, 2 sessional exams with a end sem constitute a semister, its a research institute also. So wide range of opportunities are available in R&D also. 100% placement is assured from the University.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 175000 per year

Placement Experience :

No i have not gone through any interview or campus placement procedures. But according to our seniors its pretty good here and students from here have got placed into companies such as Phillips and Infosys

College Events :

Radiology day, college fest, University fest, tarang, utsav, paralon, inter college and inter University sports meets and many such events. Most of them run for a week Atleast. Participation is easy and reachable. But winning is bit difficult. Other events depends upon the course and department which students belong to.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

175000+175000+175000 is the fee structure for 3 years. And a caution deposit of ?10000 will be collected which will be refunded after completion of internship. College accept all types of cashless transactions. Fees here is bit high bt college offers exposure to good resources, vast library labs and clinics with all modren equipment along with sports equipments and air-conditioned class rooms.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I get Government scholarship with is too less. Education loan can be availed at any banks bt taking a quotation of fees and hostel rents from the administrative department with is a easy process.

Campus Life :

In simple words Manipal University is all round package of everything with equal gender ratio and lots of things to explore in and around. Campus is 650+ acres with wifi enabled and it is maintained green all around. Eco-friendly Nature is maintained. The situation of the campus is on a hill top which is 12 km away from arabian sea and 40 km away from the belts of western ghats which provides better place to chill out.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels costs us more so I have opted for PG i pay 6000 per month with 2 shares including food and water and unlimited WiFi, electricity bill is extra. Food in the city is pretty good. College hostel have sharing from 2 to 6 people, it depends on package selected.

Hostel Fee : INR 125000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, there are many alumni webinars held and are accessible. Listening to them brings us hope and boost our confidance level.

Admission :

Experience based learning is preffered here, has a huge constituent multi-speciality hospital for better clinical experience and practice. Admission is based on marks scored in 12th board exam PCB ranking merit list, councilling will be heald in june usually, college begin in mid-july.

Faculty :

10:1 student facility ratio is maintained, all faculties are master graduates and 50% of them carry a P.hd, lectures here work in clinical posting on rotational basis and are up-to-date. With both theory and practical knowledge. Mosr of them are reachable easily always.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculties gives us notes and we're having clinical postings everyday,that helps to interact with patients, makes us more confident in practical skills and helps us to deal with all kind of patients. We're having 3 internals,with regular class test. In 1st year we're having Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology with two language subjects such as Kannada and English. By learning Kannada it helps us to deal patients. 1st year subjects actually makes aware of basic medical things even though if it is not required for our course.

The reason why I chose this field as a career is because of my passion towards medical field and hospitals. Medical field is the most important and fast rising field. This gives career opportunities and future settlement. The reason I chose imaging technology is because of its high demand in the field of medicine. They give good job opportunities and job security. This course teaches us the basics of medicine in the first year and then progress to our core subject. When it comes to difficulty level of the course I think it's moderate. It's not a really difficult course it's quite interesting and challenging one. The way they teach us amazing. They have sem wise exam and have internals also.
